Wheat is an annual cereal plant that is grown in most countries of the world. From it they make flour, cereals, pasta and confectionery, even beer, and this is not a complete list. And to draw wheat is not difficult at all. Below we will look at ways to do this.
How to draw wheat in pencil: materials
Before you start drawing wheat, prepare the necessary materials. These are simple pencils (it is best to take one hard and one soft), a sheet of paper, an eraser and colored pencils (yellow, light orange, green, brown) if you want to colorize the picture.
First way
First, consider one of the simplest methods to draw wheat in stages, which is suitable for painting with a child.
- On a piece of paper we draw with a simple pencil several slightly curved vertical lines. Their number depends on how many spikelets you want to draw.
- Draw nine circles around the top of one of the stems.
- Now make out circles of grain that look like drops in shape. In the same way, draw grains on the remaining stems.
- On each spikelet we draw several antennae. There should be few, 4-5 pieces on each spikelet. From the bottom of the stems we draw long and narrow leaves.
Now that you know how to draw wheat in a simple way, you can try a more complex method. At the end, color the wheat using orange and yellow pencils for spikelets and green pencils for leaves.
Second way
How to draw wheat in another simple way? This will also require a piece of paper, a simple pencil and an eraser.
We draw thin, slightly inclined lines. In the upper part of each line we draw spikelets. We draw a few grains on each side and one at the very top. Grains can be either in the form of droplets or in the form of small ovals.
We draw thick stripes on both sides of the ear, and draw a few short lines on top. We finish a couple of leaves next to the stems. We wipe the unnecessary lines - and the drawing is ready. You can draw a few more spikelets and paint the picture with paints or pencils using yellow and brown.
Third way
If you want to know how to draw wheat a little more realistic, then this method is suitable for you.
- With a hard pencil, draw stems with slightly bent lines, and elongated ovals on top of them. At this stage, future spikelets resemble reeds. When sketching, do not press hard on the pencil, the lines should be weakly visible.
- Next, inside the ovals, draw grains that look like drops. First we draw one grain slightly inclined, on the other hand a little higher than the second, the third again slightly higher, opposite the second, and so on until you fill in the oval drawn earlier. Itβs not scary if you go a little beyond the boundaries of the sketch.
- At the ends of the grains, draw spines with straight lines.
- Now add the volume to the stems by drawing an additional line next to the existing one.
- We draw leaves near the stems and wipe the excess lines. To depict a folded leaf, draw an elongated triangle with the base up and at the same angle, another thin triangle.
- We draw a drawing with a soft pencil and add a little shadow at the base of each seed. Top and bottom lightly paint over the stem and leaves with a hard pencil. You can use a pencil of the same hardness by clicking on it with different strengths to get different shades. You can also color the resulting picture.
In this way, you can draw a single spikelet, or a whole sheaf or even a field. In addition, spikelets can be slightly modified by placing, for example, grains at a slightly greater distance from each other, or by adding an additional row of grains to the side.
