Shiny rhinestones in the navel, on the nose or on the tongue - this, of course, is beautiful, but at the same time it is dangerous. Danger to our health. Indeed, in the pursuit of fashion and style, we completely forget about our body. Whatever the piercing: an earring in the navel or a ball on the tongue - if the special rules for caring for them are not followed, there is a huge risk of inflammatory processes.
Piercing is not childish
Any specialist will tell you that any artificial hole on the human body can cost him dearly, causing one or another infection. Mouth punctures (lips and tongue) are widespread among young people, and it is in this place that a puncture is not only undesirable, but also childishly dangerous! But the navel earring is the least dangerous type of piercing (of course, with proper care of it). Very rarely, healing is as easy as after regular ear piercing. If you approach the care of a navel piercing with all responsibility, then on average it will take about six months.
How to care for a piercing
As you know, silver kills microbes, therefore, with a fresh puncture, we recommend using silver earrings, they fit perfectly in the navel! So, you went to a cosmetic or piercing parlor and pierced your belly button. Congratulations, your dream has come true! Now to the point. Please note that the first five days your belly button will look perfect, so use it - take pictures with your stomach naked, show off to friends and girlfriends, and so on. In general, manage to enjoy its beauty. Why "keep up"? Because in five days this place will take a slightly different look. Where the ring directly enters the navel, redness will appear, and a liquid will begin to ooze from the puncture, reminiscent of milk in color. But don't be scared! This is completely normal. Your body just wants to push an object foreign to it, that's all!
Process twice a day
the place where the earring enters the navel, potassium permanganate concentrate or hydrogen peroxide (H
2 O
2 ). Scroll your jewelry during processing to disinfect the puncture site as best as possible. Remember! No alcohol solution! The following are cases where the situation may get out of control and you need immediate medical attention. Do not ignore them and carefully monitor your health if:
- the amount of discharge increased markedly;
- the discharge turned yellow;
- initial redness began to spread farther and farther;
- there was pain.
Again, any of these cases is a serious reason to visit a doctor. Please take this seriously!
Know that the wound formed by the navel earring is considered fully healed only when the redness disappears! Therefore, in no case do not stop processing the puncture site until the redness has completely passed. Otherwise, we repeat, you run the risk of contracting an infection.
And finally, another warning: no pools, saunas and beaches until the wound heals! Also, do not pull out the navel piercing earrings until you are sure that the wound has completely healed. Remember what you risk.
