Ilya Krasilshchik is an experienced publisher of the relatively young Internet resource Medusa. Today this is a successful and cheerful person, whose career path was far from simple and smooth. We will tell more about his take-off on the career ladder, interesting fate, hobbies and life priorities.
Brief reference from the biography
Ilya Krasilshchik (biography his full of surprises ) was born in the average metropolitan family of mathematicians on April 10, 1987. Since childhood, nothing particularly stood out and was a moderately shy child. Like most of his peers, he graduated from Moscow gymnasium No. 1513 and decided to submit documents to the university.
Following his classmates, he entered the Russian State Humanitarian University (Russian State Humanitarian University) with them. Initially, it was the faculty of artificial intelligence and linguistics.
When our hero realized that the exact sciences, like programming, without his path, he immediately transferred to the Faculty of History and Philology. Ilya Krasilshchik himself says that at that moment he really liked the story. Therefore, the change in the training course was painless and promised a lot of changes in the life of a young and promising specialist.
However, due to the too unruly nature and omissions, Ilya Iosifovich did not finish his studies. According to teachers, he was expelled directly from the fifth year of university.
First Steps in Publishing
Ilya Krasilshchik began taking his first steps in publishing as an ordinary corrector in a virtual publication called Polit.ru. In early 2003, he wanted to create his own online music resource dedicated to Muscience. True, he was amateur, but the number of unique visitors grew day by day.
New musical hobby
Inspired by the first successes, the young man went in search of a new job. This time he decided to try himself as a music observer. And at the beginning of 2004 Ilya got a job at Zvuki.ru, where he gained experience, although he worked very little. In the same year, Ilya Iosifovich went to Yandex, where he was invited to a managerial position. But here, too, the young man was not destined to "take root."
Promising work in the Poster
In early 2005, he was invited to become a columnist for another magazine - "Poster". Who would have thought that it was this change of job that would positively affect his career. So, at the age of 21, Ilya Krasilshchik, unexpectedly for himself, became the editor of the afisha.ru website. A little later, he was already heading the Afisha magazine itself.
Since 2008, Ilya went on a promotion and became the editor-in-chief of the publication. From the beginning of July 2013, the Dyer was removed from his post. He was replaced by Alexander Gorbachev, before that, his acting deputy. The Dyer himself took the place of the director of promotion of the official production of "Poster".
Another change of residence and work
After a while, the Afisha magazine ceased to interest Ilya. Due to certain disagreements in the team, she was forced to leave her post. A loud dismissal was followed by a departure from the country. As it turned out, he was waiting for a new fateful round. At that time, Ilya moved to Riga, where he became the publisher of the joint Russian-Latvian publication Meduza.
Impressions of the "Poster"
Despite the fact that our hero has long left his homeland, he still recalls his once beloved Afisha magazine. According to him, Ilya got a job there as an editor and was supposed to release a new web resource for the publication. That's just the time of its launch, according to the hero, was somewhat delayed. But he managed to get to know one of the founders of the Poster closer. It was Ilya Tsentsiper.
Over time, this friendship allowed Ilya to receive an unexpected increase. From that moment he became chief editor. According to Dyer, initially it was a shock and some euphoria. But then he had to prove his suitability not in word but in deed, which was very difficult. However, our hero is grateful to all the Afisha employees with whom he was lucky to work. It was they, and not the teachers from his former university, who became real teachers for him. For this he is very grateful.
Change of leadership in the "Poster" and a slight shock
Since Ilya Iosifovich Krasilshchik literally stuck with the Afisha publishing house, it was difficult for him to observe the change of personnel taking place in December 2015. At that time, company management changed. A collapse of interests occurred, and almost all former employees fell under the distribution (they were reduced and deprived of any place of work).
This event impressed the hero so much that he wrote a separate article about it. In it, he remembered the once friendly team, was a little sad and wished good luck to his unemployed colleagues.
Dyer: Meduza
Inspired by the idea of ββpast work, Ilya Iosifovich decided to create something similar. However, he could not imagine that he would succeed in turning the young virtual edition of Medusa into one of the most recognizable representatives of the mass media.
Currently, the Medusa project describes various interesting events that have occurred in the world. Here you can find interesting life stories, non-standard news in the βBig Topβ section, play games, take funny tests, read expert advice on certain issues, chat and ask editors.
Travel and business trips
Despite the fact that at the moment Ilya lives in Riga, he periodically flies to Moscow. The fact is that the office of Medusa, including its creative team, is located in the capital of the Russian Federation. Therefore, Ilya often has business trips and trips. It is noteworthy that the hero himself likes such a schedule, since in childhood he dreamed of becoming a famous traveler. And although he was not able to fully realize his plan, he still has the opportunity to feel like a real adventurer.
Family Values ββand Marriage
Ilya Krasilshchik and Ekaterina Krongauz are two loving people who are connected not only by marriage, but also by common interests. Like her husband, Catherine is interested in journalism. Moreover, she is a practicing psychologist, a mother of two children and the author of several useful manuals for parents. Together with her husband, they developed a unique service and a school for training baby-sitters.
What can you learn at the school of baby boomers?
The idea to organize a school for baby-sitters came up spontaneously. At one point, when they needed to leave for a couple of hours, and their nanny suddenly fell ill. And then they decided to come up with a service that can pick up temporary carers for all parents who want it. Unlike nannies, baby sitters do not work for a monthly salary. Basically these are students who plan to periodically earn extra money.
Baby sitters can stay with children for just a couple of hours. They entertain them, feed and have fun. In a word, they help out when parents want, for example, to spend an evening together. However, after lengthy testing, anonymous surveys of parents and the candidates themselves, it turned out that baby sitters need additional training.
According to Catherine, they needed to know how and how to distract the child. They also needed help in resolving conflict situations and other problems. Their training and engaged spouses Dyers.
Currently, the Dyers family lives in Riga. They promote the site and the school for babysitters, collaborate with the charity portal "Such Things" and work in the publication "Medusa".
