Lingonberry fruit drink - recipe for cooking

How to cook cranberry juice to preserve its useful properties, it is advisable to know everyone. Then this drink will bring not only a pleasant taste, but also have a beneficial effect on the body. There are three most correct cooking options, in which all the valuable ingredients will remain unchanged.

Lingonberry preparation

Sort fresh berries from leaves and antennae, remove spoiled berries (these are dry, different in color - white or black). Place in a colander under the tap and rinse with a stream of cold water. Frozen berries should also be sorted and washed. It should thaw a little.

First way

We offer cranberry juice, the recipe for which is cooking. Crush the prepared berry with a meat grinder or juicer. In the first case, squeeze the juice yourself.

Squeeze the juice in the refrigerator. Pour cake with water at the rate of: 1 cup of cake for 1.5-2 liters of water. Add 200-250 g of sugar and put on the stove. Boil, after 5-7 minutes remove from the stove and let cool.

Strain the cooled broth with a fine sieve or 4-6 layers of gauze. Add the cooled juice, mix, after which you can drink.

Second way

In some cases, cranberry juice is recommended to be consumed hot. For example, in the treatment of colds, tonsillitis. In this case, pay attention to that cranberry juice, the recipe of which does not imply prolonged boiling.

Take the berries, mash and separate the juice from the cake. Boil water first and let cool to 90-95 degrees. Mix the cake with sugar, if desired, can be sweetened with honey, then fill with prepared water. Stir thoroughly until sugar is completely dissolved, and strain.

Add concentrated juice to the resulting fruit juice. You need to drink hot and freshly prepared, since reheating the fruit drink worsens its taste and, most importantly, negatively affects the vitamin and mineral composition.

For a change of taste in such a drink, you can put a leaf of fresh mint or a slice of lemon.

Third way

The most useful are cranberry juice, the recipe for which completely eliminates heating. It is obtained by steeping lingonberries. This method is also economical, since you can cook such fruit drinks many times from the same lingonberry.

Place in a three-liter jar 2-3 cups of sorted and washed lingonberries. Add one glass of sugar, optionally 2-3 tbsp. honey. Pour boiled cold water to the top and cover. Put in a cellar or any other cool dark place. After 2 weeks, remove, drain the resulting infusion. It is already ready for use, it must be stored in the refrigerator.

Add sugar, honey and pour water into a jar of lingonberry again. After 1.5-2 weeks, you will receive another serving of lingonberry juice. Thus, you can change the water from 5 to 10 times, depending on how many lingonberries you take.

The quality of the resulting fruit juice is judged based on color. Each time it will turn out to be lighter and more transparent. While the water is colored, the fruit drink contains nutrients.

After the lingonberry completely gives up its color and taste, it is thrown out or twisted with sugar to prepare the filling in baking.

Good to know

As a rule, red fruits and berries can produce an allergic reaction, however, despite the red color, lingonberries are not an allergen. It can be eaten even by young children, including infants, as well as nursing and pregnant women, but without additional additives, such as honey or mint.
