Is an allergy to sweets a scourge of our time?

Sweet allergies are now more common than they were before. This is due primarily to the fact that in all (or almost all) confectionery, sweets and pastries, either dyes or artificial ingredients are added, the composition of which causes a negative reaction of the body.

Sweets contain a large amount of carbohydrates, the excessive consumption of which in itself brings harm to the body. Most often, an allergy to sweets occurs in children who are most vulnerable in this regard. First, the child does not fully understand the harm of this kind of "overeating". Secondly, the growing body, when it receives an excess of carbohydrates, is not able to assimilate them and begins to reject it. This is manifested initially in the appearance of a rash.

Naturally, when anyone uses a lot of sweets, which include honey and milk sugar, he is allergic to sweets. Symptoms of this unpleasant disease are as follows: itching, redness of the skin, hives. As a rule, a rash occurs on the face, limbs and neck.

In order to choose the right treatment for a special case of allergies, you need to understand the cause of its occurrence. As a rule, such a reaction occurs as a result of rejection of foreign proteins (of plant or animal origin) by the human body. Note that the mechanism of allergy has not been thoroughly studied. In general, there are several effective ways that help prevent the development of allergies and eliminate it completely. However, the very principle of allergy and the degree of its complexity is very difficult to predict.

Sweet allergy appears quite often in both adults and children. Sucrose, which is the basis of sugar, leads to the fermentation of food debris that is not yet digested in the body.

There are different opinions regarding allergies to honey. It used to be that honey did not cause allergic reactions. However, modern medicine has denied this. An allergic reaction to honey occurs most often in patients with rhinitis or bronchial asthma. They are predisposed to her. One of the causes of this allergy is antibiotics, which are used by beekeepers as a stimulator of the activity of bee colonies in the spring. Also, the factors provoking allergies are the individual characteristics of the body and its tendency to develop a particular allergic reaction. Sometimes there are cases of an allergy to milk sugar - lactose. Often this happens in young children.

If you are allergic to sweets, treatment should be started immediately. First of all, if there is an itch, you need to drastically reduce the intake of sweets. However, easier said than done: for many, this is an impossible task. But a full-fledged treatment by refusing to take sweets is not limited. Consultation on the preparation of an individual diet will be provided only by an immunologist.

Remember that medications basically eliminate only the external manifestations of allergies: itching, redness of the skin, rash. The main task is to find and eliminate the cause of the disease. And this can only be done by a doctor.

One of the modern ways to treat sweet allergies is desensitization. It is used to prevent anaphylactic shock. The fight against allergies occurs with the help of the allergen itself. As a result, the body simply gets used to it and does not "protest" against it. However, the use of this method of treatment occurs only under the strict supervision of a physician. It is possible that treatment will provoke an aggravation of the disease.

Remember that an allergy to sweets is treatable. It is important to establish the cause and overcome it!
