But during sterilization, the time required for heat treatment is not as much as, for example, when harvesting cherries. But back to the recipes:
- Common dogwood compote . Sort the berries (1.5 kg), wash, fill in jars. Fill about a quarter or a little higher. Covering the neck with your hand, turn the containers over to drain the water that has fallen from the berries. Then pour the products in very hot syrup. To make compote from dogwood, the syrup is prepared as follows: boil 2 liters of water, add 1.2 kg of sugar (remember the sugar / berry ratio!), Boil for 5 minutes. Remove foam. Cover jars filled on the shoulders with sterile lids and put on sterilization. Time: half liter containers - 8-10 minutes, liter - 12-15 minutes, 3 liters - half an hour. Then the lids are rolled up, banks are turned over, covered and left to cool for a day. After that, they can be put in the cellar or pantry. If all the actions are followed, then the stewed dogwood compote, the recipe of which we just examined, can last for a long time, for 2 years, and not lose its beneficial qualities and taste. Yes, clarification: when boiling cans, try so that your water bath does not boil too much. Otherwise, the compote will boil and evaporate very much, a lot of liquid will be lost.
- Compote "Healthy platter". It is worth noting that cornel is well combined with other berries and fruits. Therefore, a drink from it turns out to be very tasty if a berry mixture is put in a jar.
