To be or not to be, why do circumcisions

Circumcision is the process of partial or complete removal of the foreskin through surgical intervention. Considering the question of why circumcision is done, you can see that it is performed according to many traditions and religious beliefs, as well as for medical reasons, for example, in the presence of phimosis (narrowing of the foreskin) or balanoposthitis (inflammation of the head of the penis due to the accumulation of smegma), and also with premature ejaculation, as circumcision reduces the sensitivity of the penis.

Considering the ancient traditions, and why Jews do circumcision, you can see that circumcision has long been a mandatory procedure in the adoption of Judaism. Moreover, this procedure was carried out at the age of one year. Islam accepts circumcision as a custom, but there are no strict rules regarding its implementation.

In the presence of a disease such as phimosis, circumcision is done immediately, since when the foreskin is narrowed, the head of the penis is not completely exposed, and smegma is collected under the foreskin, which often leads to inflammatory processes. With balanoposthitis, circumcision is necessarily performed, since the inflammatory process can penetrate the urethra.

Many men with a tendency to premature ejaculation know the answer to the question of why circumcision is done. Indeed, in this case, the skin of the glans penis tightens, therefore, sexual intercourse lasts longer.

Circumcised men are less likely to become infected with genital herpes, syphilis, AIDS, gonorrhea, hepatitis and many other diseases, since the disease cells are located in the foreskin, which is removed, and women are less likely to have uterine inflammation. Also, men exclude the development of cancer of the penis, since the secretion of the sebaceous glands, usually accumulated under the foreskin, is erased. Considering why circumcision is done at an advanced age, it should be noted that there are cases when the foreskin fuses with the glans penis, which contributes to problems with urination, therefore this procedure is extremely necessary. Circumcision is also performed to reduce the risk of various infections entering the genitourinary system.

Considering at what age circumcision is done, it can be noted that up to 12 years this procedure is performed under general anesthesia, at an older age under local anesthesia . If the procedure is performed in children under two months of age, usually pain relief is not used.

During circumcision, an anesthetic is injected into the penis, after which the foreskin is removed in a circle around the penis and the skin is sutured. In rare cases, urine enters the joints during urination, which can lead to inflammation, and blood also enters, which leads to the penetration of the infection into the body.

After surgery, most men have an erection due to friction of the head of the penis on the underwear. However, over time, this phenomenon will cease, as a process of adaptation to new conditions will arise.

If you carefully consider the question of why circumcision is done, you can see its other side. So, after the circumcision process, the glans penis becomes unprotected, as a result of which it loses its natural lubrication and becomes dry. Moreover, when rubbing against the laundry, pain and discomfort arise, and there is a small risk of infection after surgery.

Experts advise those men who do not have malformations of the penis and who monitor personal hygiene, do not circumcise. In any case, every man has the right to decide for himself whether to be circumcised or not.
