Since December 2013, diesel engines of the YaMZ-530 family have been manufactured at the Yaroslavl facilities of Avtodiesel OJSC. This includes so far only two models of engines - these are four- and six-cylinder engines.

A risky but successful move
At the Yaroslavl Motor Plant really took a real risk. Indeed, it is very, very difficult to create a YaMZ-530 diesel engine, which would not only have unique characteristics, but could create competition for the best models of world manufacturers.
For this, in the middle of the 2000s, European engineers were invited as partners in this project. After several years of development and experimentation, a series of in-line engines was created with a volume of 1.1 liters per cylinder.

The new line for Euro-5 is characterized by significantly improved characteristics, technical and economic indicators. The power range has also expanded. Now it is from 240 to 330 horsepower. Torque has also expanded - from 900 to 1370 Nm.
