According to the copyright certificate, 6,000 paintings belong to the master’s property. Professional art historians of the Tretyakov Gallery, where the Aivazovsky exhibition is held, carefully selected works, which included 120 paintings.
Most of the masterpieces from St. Petersburg came from the Russian and Central Naval Museum, Peterhof country palaces, Tsarskoye Selo and Pavlovsky, as well as numerous regional and foreign museums.
