One of the traditional dishes of our national cuisine is pea soup with hunting sausages. Almost everyone likes this soup. At the same time, the dish is prepared not only with crushed, but also with whole, and green, and canned peas. Smoked foods are often added to it. But there are recipes where the main ingredient is pork, chicken, beef and even lamb. It is worth noting that pea soup in itself is very useful. Its composition includes components that are able to replace meat by the amount of protein. So, how to cook pea soup with hunting sausages?
Classic recipe in a slow cooker
To prepare pea soup with hunting sausages, you will need:
- Sausages, preferably hunting - no more than 4 pcs.
- Polished whole peas - 200 g.
- Small potato - 3 tubers.
- Common onion - 1 pc.
- Carrots - 1 root crop.
- Water - at least 2 liters.
- Spices as well as salt.
Cooking process
Many recommend preparing pea soup with hunting sausages, the recipe of which is described above, in a slow cooker. This greatly facilitates the process. At night, peas should be filled with hot water. Before cooking, the liquid must be drained.
Hunting sausages should be cut into circles. Vegetables must be peeled and chopped. Pour onion, sausages and carrots into the multicooker bowl. Fry foods for ten minutes. For this, the "Frying" mode is suitable. In this case, the components should be mixed periodically. At the end of the program, frying should be left heated.
Pour the chopped potatoes and peas into the bowl, add water, add spices, salt and then mix everything. You need to cook the dish in the "Soup" mode. In this case, the timer should be set for 60 minutes. After the specified time, you need to check the readiness of the peas. If necessary, you can boil the soup for another 20 minutes in the same mode. The dish is ready.
Cooker recipe
To prepare, you need:
- Ground peas - 250 g.
- Sausages - 35 g.
- Water - at least 2.5 liters.
- Potato tubers - 200 g.
- Onion - 50 g.
- Fresh carrots - 50 g.
- Plant-based oil - 50 g.
- Salt and greens.
How to cook
In this case, pea soup with hunting sausages is cooked on the stove. Vegetables should be peeled and cut. Carrots should be chopped on a grater. Hunting sausages are recommended to cut into circles. Water should be poured into a pan and boiled. Potatoes should be added to the container and cooked for another 5 minutes. After that, add peas to the soup. After that, cook everything for half an hour over low heat.
In a pan, heat the vegetable oil. Pour carrots and onions here. Products need to be fried. When the peas are boiled, add carrots, onions and sausages to the pan. Cook the soup for another 5 minutes. At the end, you can add greens, as well as a bay leaf for flavor.
