Fright at the child what to do

Children under one year of age are exposed to many diseases. Fright in a child is considered the most common disease that worries not only the babies themselves, but also their parents. Increased shyness is accompanied by constant crying, the baby becomes restless.

Many parents prefer to treat a child’s fright with the help of conspiracies and taking herbs from healers grandmothers. And in some cases it really works. But modern mothers prefer not traditional medicine, but specialist doctors who prescribe a course of treatment.

Fear in a child is, in turn, a characteristic reflex of caution, because it is fear that carries a defensive character. Over time, everything passes, the baby's constant anxieties are replaced by a calm sleep. In most cases, the child’s fright goes away by itself, the baby simply overcomes its fears. But if the baby receives mental injuries, undergoes harsh and strict education, then his fears can go to a more stable stage. And just such a direction contributes to the development of stuttering and enuresis in the future.

So, in some cases, it is simply necessary to treat a child’s fright, the symptoms of which can be expressed in increased nervousness and in the appearance of constant attacks of fear. The kid can sleep poorly, refuse to eat, constantly cry and roll up in tantrums. In many cases, a child’s fright is accompanied by shaking hands and legs, when the baby is unable to cope with the fear that will fall upon him.

If we talk about the causes of fear, then in most cases it is a fear of loneliness, when the baby is afraid to lose an expensive person from his field of vision, in particular, his mother. The child is trying by all means to always be near her, therefore, keeps her as we can - by crying, hysteria or screaming. When children grow up, they may be afraid to go to school, in this case, children who are not accustomed to independence are inclined to such a moment.

Also, the causes of fright in a child can be various somatic diseases and infections. With over-upbringing, when children are “caressed” or, conversely, with a lack of attention, the risk of fear can double.

So how to cure a child’s fright? There are many answers to this question. Some prefer proven folk remedies in the form of broths and spells, others prefer modern neurological drugs, and the rest prefer love and care. With the appearance of anxiety, a loving mother should always be next to her baby, explain that everything is fine and there is nothing to be afraid of. If the baby is very small, you should pick it up and calm it down, you need to stroke the child along the legs, back and arms, sing a quiet song or just talk in an affectionate voice.

In older children, it is necessary to first find out the cause of fear. Only after that start to act - go to the doctors, get down to traditional methods or just talk with the child and explain that everything is in order. If the baby is afraid of something, then it should be closer to introduce him to this object, only very carefully. Let me touch, smell, stroke or hold, the only way to explain that there is nothing intimidating in it. If a child is afraid of someone, for example, a doctor, then it is worth saying that this aunt is very good, that she loves small children and never hurts them. It is worth telling your child that everything frightening can turn out to be only at first glance - an angry dog can become quite friendly, a sick injection quickly passes, and besides, it brings many benefits.

Baths with soothing herbs, for example, with chamomile, valerian, with lavender oil or sea salt, help very well from anxiety. If the child’s fright does not go away after these procedures, then you will need to visit a pediatric and qualified psychologist.
