It is unlikely that you will want to bother with a cocktail with some complicated recipe, according to which, to make a drink, you need to use a dozen components, and this is not necessary when there are simpler recipes, but giving a product with excellent taste. For example, non-alcoholic "Mojito".

Mojito cocktail has a long history. Oddly enough, most likely, the pirates of Francis Drake were its inventors . However, in those days, there was no question of such a drink as the Mojito cocktail — it existed in the “alcoholic” form. The rough and strong taste of rum, which the brave pirates often whipped, was pretty tired of them, then they began to add mint and lime juice to it. Another possible reason for adding these ingredients is that they were a good natural antiseptic, and perhaps the vitamins contained in them, in the most difficult times for the crew, were saved from scurvy. Then this cocktail was called "Drak". And after three hundred years, a large enterprise for the production of various drinks, including the legendary Bacardi rum, was opened in Cuba. The Cubans began to prepare “Drak” on the basis of this rum, renaming it “Mojito”. Mojito non-alcoholic cocktail appears a little later.

The recipe is simple, cooking does not take much effort or time. The main thing is to make ice in advance, and in order to make Mojito cocktail non-alcoholic, you will need a lot of ice. It is worth recalling that ice is best prepared from distilled or purified water, since at low temperatures all harmful microorganisms contained in tap water do not die in the freezer. Accordingly, using ice from frozen tap water means putting your health and your guests who drink non-alcoholic Mojito at risk. Ice can be prepared in special molds or crushed later, but the first option will take less time.

So, to make a non-alcoholic “Mojito”, you will need: small, but ripe lime, three teaspoons of brown sugar, a branch of fresh mint, tonic or sprite - 200 ml, and crushed ice in large quantities. Take lime, cut it into two halves, cut one of them into another four parts. Pour brown sugar into the glass or glass in the amount indicated above; After squeezing the juice from half of the lime, pour them this sugar. Put the other half, which you cut into four pieces before that, on top. It is better to tear the mint with your hands than to cut it - in this case it will retain more flavor. Put it in a glass, and then slightly remember all its contents with a spoon - but you should not turn it all into jelly. Having rumpled, put the ice on top, and fill it all up to the brim with a sprite or tonic. You can decorate the Mojito cocktail with a non-alcoholic mint leaf or lemon slice. This drink will give a feeling of freshness and possibly improve your mood. However, if you want to make a non-alcoholic Mojito while at home and have the opportunity to buy another ingredient for it - strawberries, then you have a chance to make a cocktail, which can be called a real culinary masterpiece.

You will need one glass: half lime, a teaspoon of brown sugar, a few sheets of fresh mint, a quarter cup of strawberries, ice and soda. Pour strawberries and sugar into a glass, mash it all with a spoon until strawberry juice appears in the glass. Squeeze lime juice on the resulting mass - you do not need to add lime itself. Tear the mint leaves by adding them to the glass and kneading again. Fill the remaining space with ice to the brim and fill it with soda.

In addition, non-alcoholic Mojito can also be made from watermelon, and it will also be an excellent drink. You will need: a small bunch of mint, a tablespoon of cane sugar, crushed ice and two limes. Peel the watermelon pulp, then use a blender to make a homogeneous liquid mass out of it. Chop the mint, then add sugar and crush it with pestle, add limes, previously cut into small pieces, into this mass. Mash all components again, pour watermelon juice into a container with the resulting mass . Mix thoroughly, add crushed ice.

You can cook this wonderful non-alcoholic “Mojito” both for yourself and for the assembled company; it will bring you freshness in hot weather and pleasure - in any. And, of course, it will be a wonderful decoration for your table. Mojito is not always a non-alcoholic drink, even though this article only deals with such a drink as the non-alcoholic Mojito.
