Fire safety requires special attention, because it is designed to save lives and preserve property. Therefore, humanity at all times invented methods of warning of a fire. This is most relevant in places where the risk of fire is especially great.
In fire extinguishing systems and fire alarms, a manual fire detector IP 535 Garant is used. It allows you to manually turn on the fire alarm.
Where is the detector used?
The IP 535 Garant device is used to turn on an alarm in case of fire. It is designed for installation in areas where explosions are likely.
The detector is suitable for work in places where the explosion hazard class is 0 or lower. In such areas, it can be connected to an intrinsically safe loop. It can be devices like “Yakhont I” and other similar ones that create the necessary conditions.
When used in areas safe from explosions, IP 535 Garant can be connected to a cable that is not intrinsically safe. Additional current limiting elements are not needed. But here it is important to consider that the detector is unipolar, therefore, with alternating voltage in the loop, it is necessary to use an additional diode.
The detector can be operated in various temperature conditions, it is used even in the open air in the north, where the temperature is constantly low. The range of operating temperatures is from minus fifty-five to plus seventy degrees. In this case, the relative humidity of the ambient air at forty degrees Celsius should not be higher than 93%.
Device device
Fire detector IP 535 "Guarantor" consists of the following elements:
- The case, which is made of shockproof material (cast armamide).
- Glass cover. The kit also includes another spare cover, allowing you to restore the device after operation.
- Board with elements of an electrical circuit.
- Terminals for connecting to a loop.
On the body of the device there is an inscription: “Fire, break the glass, press the button”.
Principle of operation
The device is powered by several redundant contacts and a rectifier bridge.
When a button is pressed in the loop, the current increases; its strength is limited by the resistor. The built-in LED turns on. IP 535 "Guarantor" transmits a fire alarm by pulling the drive element.

The electrical insulation strength should be higher than 0.75 kilovolts, and the electrical insulation resistance should be more than 20 megohms.
The device will work when it is connected only to a two-wire line, the voltage in which is from four to twenty-seven volts. It is this voltage that is necessary for the electrical power of the detector.
The device has the following dimensions: length is 160 millimeters with a fitting (without it 110 millimeters), width is 110 millimeters, depth is 70 millimeters. At the same time, the device weighs no more than three hundred grams.
The IP 535 Garant announcer works throughout all the time without interruptions. In standby mode, the device is capable of operating up to sixty thousand hours. This means that the average life of the device is more than ten years.
