There are two types of gas masks, differing in the method of supplying clean air:

Device design
The hose gas mask consists of a helmet mask tightly and hermetically adjacent to the face, a pair of tubes and a special valve designed for air outlet.
Depending on the type of device, the hose may have a length of ten to forty meters. Be sure to note that before starting work, the duct must be installed in a clean area and only then carry out the necessary operations.
Requirements and Technical Standards
Each PN gas mask must be tested before use. In order to prevent accidents during the use of the product, you need to check the equipment and marking.
After this, the unit must be visually inspected. Hoses, tubing, valve and mask must be in perfect condition. Before use, thoroughly clean the gas mask from dust. This can be done by blowing. Be sure to check the tightness and tightness of the mask to the face.
Inspection should be carried out just before the start of work and planned twice a year.

Gas mask PSh-1 consists of:
- three face masks;
- two corrugated half-meter tubes;
- ten meter hose;
- a safety belt on which all working devices are attached;
- a filter;
- a cover that allows you to store and transport the unit.
The PSh-2 gas mask has the following structure:
- two helmet masks;
- two tubes five meters long each;
- two twenty meter hoses;
- two safety belts;
- blower box;
- a suitcase for storing the device and its transportation.
How to make the right choice
The most important difference between hose masks is the length of the ducts. You can find hoses having a length of 10, 20 and 40 meters.
Choose a device depending on the room in which you are going to work. If it is not very large, products with ten-meter hoses are perfect for you. For shallow mines and plants it is best to use devices with long hoses. After all, the longer the length, the less likely it is that toxic substances and dust will enter the lungs.
How to store
For maximum safety, store your device in the correct conditions. The gas mask must be in a closed box in the room. In this case, the kit can be stored at temperatures from -50 to +50 degrees Celsius. However, before use, it is necessary to withstand the unit at room temperature for a day.
Never expose the gas mask to direct sunlight, or to mechanical or thermal shock.
Hose gas masks have many advantages over their counterparts. Although they are not so compact, but, unlike others, they supply clean air to the human lungs, while other varieties only filter it. Therefore, the risk of infection is minimized.
