A few years ago, a brand new car debuted in the Celestial Empire, which can not be attributed to either crossovers or hatchbacks. The name of this "creation" is "Geely MK Cross."

The development of the new model lasted for months, until in 2010 the company's engineers did not offer the final version of their “crossover”, so to speak. The appearance of the "Geely MK Cross" really resembles a crossover, but in reality its dimensions are smaller than all existing passenger cars. It is so low and short that it is simply impossible to confuse it with a hatchback. And if you classify the new Gili MK Cross as a crossover class, you just haven't seen it live.

The technical data is clearly tuned to the passenger car, so with its completely uncharacteristic (like a jeep) curb weight of 1100 kilograms, the “Chinese” accelerates to 165 kilometers per hour at maximum speed. There is no choice of transmissions either. The buyer is not provided with anything but to choose a mechanical "five-step".
Is it worth it to purchase?
Given that the "Geely MK Cross" in Russia is not a rare phenomenon, you can hear from plenty of useful information and feedback from motorists. Having exploited the Chinese pseudo-crossover, many came to the conclusion that the best option for 389 thousand rubles is simply not to be found on the market right now. Even the same Priora and Grant remain out of competition. And the build quality in China is much better than now in Togliatti. Therefore, motorists do not make serious claims regarding reliability. The only thing is that with prolonged use on Russian roads the front pillar often starts knocking, and this is not an isolated case. The suspension for our roads is not quite adapted, the “Chinese” behaves rigidly in the pits. However, given that in addition to 389 thousand attached ABS, EBD, power steering and other devices, the Chinese “MK Cross” can forgive absolutely everything.
