It began to function as a resort in the year 1915, immensely distant from us, and for all 100 years it has specialized in treating diseases of the musculoskeletal system. And the zemstvo doctor A.G. Kurochkin laid the foundation for everything, on the initiative of which they carried out an analysis of salt sources that hit the Solonitsa river in abundance. So it was found that the water sources contain many useful elements and are healing. The resort also functioned in Soviet times, but already as a hospital for rehabilitation treatment.
When A.A. Barbakadze became the head of the hospital, a complete reconstruction was carried out, new departments were opened, and in 1991 the hospital staff privatized it. Having gained independence, the sanatorium "Big Salt" (Yaroslavl region) has significantly expanded the range of services. So, new subsidiaries “Barley BS” have been established here, engaged in catering for guests, and the largest spa center in the region with a therapeutic bias.
