Fighting ants in a garden plot is very tricky, since it is necessary to determine the exact method of struggle, otherwise their reproduction can cause great harm to everything that grows.
How can you kill ants?
The first method: find an anthill or loosen the soil near the crop (in most cases they live there) and pour boiling water.
The second way: fighting ants in a garden plot can give a positive result if you sprinkle ants' nests with tobacco dust or lime.
The third way: ants do not tolerate specific odors: smoked herring, garlic (each slice needs to be cut), tomato tops, parsley leaves. Even the smell of a decoction of tomato tops (the more concentrated, the more effective) is deadly for them.
The fourth method: the fight against ants in the garden plot can be effective if you take corrugated cardboard, the width of which will be approximately twenty centimeters, and sprinkle it with a solution of soot or sprinkle with cinnamon. Then place the leaf around the anthill or lay on top of it. It is generally accepted that the place with this smell ants will leave forever.
The fifth method: it is rather eccentric - you need to pour urine with ants with ants.
The sixth method, with which the fight against ants in the garden should be stopped once and for all: in the center of the anthill, pour a mixture, which should consist of ten liters of water, two glasses of vegetable oil, shampoo (any) and vinegar. From above, cover it all with film and wait a couple of days.
Method seven: you can get rid of ants if you prepare a solution of the following ingredients: 300 grams of fresh wormwood or 30 grams of dry must be filled with ten liters of cold water and let it brew for several hours. The resulting infusion does not need to be bred, you just need to spray anthills with this composition.
Method Eight: Ants can be driven away with vegetable oil, including sunflower oil. To do this, you need to take the rake, level the anthill so that the passages are visible, which, of course, will be restored by the ants in a hurry. Next, you need to water the passages with oil several times until the insects leave this anthill.
There is another very interesting way to deal with ants, but whether or not to use it is everyone’s personal choice. And it consists in bringing red ants from the forest , which, logically, will simply “survive” black, but whether the game is worth the candle is a question.
If the above methods do not help, there remains the last, verified - chemical treatment. However, it conceals a pitfall in itself - chemistry will enter plants through the root system, through leaves, or in another way, and may end up on the table with the fruits. Therefore, we try to get rid of ants using safe methods, preserving the chemical as the last option.
