Do the standards of medical care in our country comply with global requirements?

Modern world standards of medical care in highly developed countries are at a fairly high level, where modern medicine with the help of the latest technology can already save people in a variety of situations. Unfortunately, in our world there are still a number of diseases that are difficult to treat, however, the gradual development in this regard allows us to say with confidence that sooner or later, an end will be put in the fight against deadly diseases.

As for Russia, here, unfortunately, the standards for the provision of medical care far from meet current requirements. Once our medicine was one of the most modern in the world, and citizens could be proud of the advanced achievements of this field. However, after the collapse of the USSR and the time of the formation of capitalist Russia, a large fundamental base was destroyed, and many competent specialists in this field went to the West. As a result, today, although we are witnessing an increase in development in this area, however, despite the emergence of many private clinics, hospital complexes and hospitals, there are still not enough qualified personnel and expensive modern equipment.

Any standard is a certain norm, approved at the state level as the minimum acceptable for the quality of service. Medical standards differ in certain norms that each country enshrines in the legislative aspect as the main criteria that the health care system must meet. In the first place in terms of medical care are the United States, followed by Switzerland, Norway, Germany, France and Canada. Here, the requirements for medical care are quite high and each citizen can be sure that the state will provide him with medical assistance if necessary. However, for such care for the health of citizens, they themselves pay huge amounts in the form of monthly deductions to the insurance and medical care fund, which sometimes reach 12%.

In our country, although the standards of medical care are not up to world standards, they are nevertheless guaranteed by the constitution. According to the main law of the country, every citizen of our country has the right to free guaranteed medical care, as well as to provide first aid if necessary. Despite the fact that in fact often citizens have to pay for the services of certain doctors, this law has not been canceled, and anyone can defend their right to free medical treatment in court. Compared to citizens of the European Union, our compatriots donate much less to the development of the healthcare system, which has both its advantages and its disadvantages.

On the one hand, if the Russians were 100% sure of the provision of medical services free of charge, then it would be not only possible, but also more rational, to reach world-class standards for the provision of medical care and allocate amounts larger than today's. On the other hand, knowing the mentality of many representatives of the authorities, as well as the tops of the same leading doctors, we can also assume that even with significant monthly deductions, very little honest taxpayer funds would go to the development of medicine in our country. Thus, with the introduction of an additional tax and the deduction of a certain percentage for the development of health care, it would not be possible to solve the existing problem.

In conclusion, I would like to add once again that we still have to be optimistic about the future, because even despite the insufficiently fast pace of development, the standard of medical care is constantly rising, which cannot but please the citizens of our country.
