In 2015, off-road enthusiasts were presented with the new Viking-29031 all-terrain vehicle. It is produced in the city of Naberezhnye Chelny. Its manufacturer is the Aton Impulse company, founded in 2001 by Arthur Tuktarov.
The appearance of the all-terrain vehicle
Viking-29031 is an amphibious all-terrain vehicle suitable for driving on all types of roads. It was developed on the basis of the Viking-2992, which did not go into mass production.
This model is a frame resembling a boat made of duralumin. A frame of pipes is attached to it, ensuring safety. From above all this is closed by a fiberglass body. Massive technique is emphasized by body lines and huge wheels (130x60 centimeters). They are pumped up centrally.
Another difference from its predecessor is the exhaust pipe. She goes from the bottom edge up the edge of the body. Ends on the roof with a silencer. Throughout its length it is protected by a special casing.
Spotlights were removed from the roof. Instead, they installed a beam with LEDs. To the roof and hood, the bumpers are attached at the same time. They protect the wipers.
There is a luggage compartment on the roof. You can get there by the stairs mounted on the back door.
On the rear bumper made a big step along the entire length. Getting on it is very convenient. A screw is hidden under the bumper for movement on water.
The length of the Viking-29031 car is 525 centimeters, width - 255 centimeters, height - 270 centimeters. All-terrain vehicle clearance may vary between 30-60 centimeters. Adjustment is due to pneumatic independent suspension. The curb weight is 1.85-2.1 tons.
The load capacity declared by the manufacturer is 850 kilograms. This allows seven passengers (including the driver) to stay in the cabin.
Interior
Comparing the new model with its predecessor, you can see that changes have been made to the interior of the Viking-29031. Reviews emphasize the positive news in the cabin.
The panel has become more modern. The buttons are backlit. The pedals are the same as on all cars. Their lower edges no longer have hard fasteners to the floor.
The multifunction steering wheel is covered in leather. Buttons are installed on it.
There is a sunroof on the roof, as it was in the previous version of the all-terrain vehicle. The speakers were also installed on the roof. But the sound system may seem a little to some. I want to see a screen that is not there. The car is equipped with several cameras. And there is nowhere to display the image from them.
Specifications
The company's management decided to improve the quality and reliability of its products in comparison with the previous model. For this purpose, Viking-29031 received a power unit and gearbox from Ford. The choice was stopped on two alternative options:
- ZMZ-51432-10TD1 (diesel) with a volume of 2.24 liters and a capacity of 110 horsepower. The maximum torque is 270 Nm. The fuel consumption of this engine is 15 liters per hundred kilometers when driving around the city and 20 liters when driving on the road.
- Ford's two-liter diesel engine DW10 rated at 163 horsepower. Its torque reaches an indicator of 340 Nm. One hundred kilometers consumes 12 liters in urban mode, and 18 liters on the road.
In two engine options, a six-speed gearbox is installed. The maximum speed is 80 kilometers per hour.
For movement on water there is a water mover. It creates a speed of 12 kilometers per hour.
The Viking-29031 all-terrain vehicle is equipped with independent suspension on all wheels. Wheelbase 4x4. U-turn pair - front.
Modifications
During development, engineers were faced with the problem of the small width of the car. All vehicles traveling on roads must be limited in size. Given the large size of the wheels, there is very little space left for the interior. Therefore, several modifications of the Viking-29031 all-terrain vehicle were developed. They differ in power plants and some other features of the body. These are the options:
- A base that has four-wheel drive. The design consists of a closed cabin, which accommodates up to seven people, and a trailer.
- Model with a wheelbase 6x6. The cabin is longer than the first modification, and can accommodate twelve people.
- Pickup truck (4x4 or 6x6), having a cabin with two rows of seats and a small open platform.
- A car with a closed cabin (6x4) with a trailer (4x4).
The following names are given to these options: Typhoon, Tornado, Ranger, Rescuer, Pickup, and Ambulance.
All-terrain vehicle
The snow and swamp vehicle of this model is equipped with the following options:
- Differential system, which at the right time blocks the interaxal and interwheel rotation.
- Heated engine before starting, independent heater.
- A pressure gauge is installed to indicate tire pressure. This allows the driver to pump them at the right time.
- A water cannon that improves water movement.
The basic version of the Viking-29031 has these options. The price of it is 3.3 million rubles. Other trim levels will cost a little more.
