Potato stew with mushrooms (fresh or dried) is a favorite and hearty meal. How to stew potatoes with dried mushrooms. Simple option
First we test the recipe with the minimum number of components. Here's what you need to get from the kitchen bins:
- dried forest mushrooms - 80-100 grams;
- potatoes - 6 pieces;
- onion - 1 piece;
- Bay leaf;
- lean oil;
- pepper and salt to taste.
Cooking process

- Before you cook dried mushrooms with potatoes, you need to process them. To do this, we thoroughly rinse them. Slice and place in a deep cup, pour boiling water. We immediately cover with any suitable lid. We steam the mushrooms for at least half an hour.
- Swollen mushrooms are slightly salted and boiled in the same water for another half hour with moderate boiling. As soon as the forest mushrooms lie on the bottom of the dishes - they are ready. We don’t drain the broth.
- Wash and peel the potatoes. Young tubers can only be thoroughly washed and cooked with peel. Cut the potatoes into pieces.
- Pour the entire rate of vegetable oil into the pan. We heat it and lightly fry the potatoes. Add a little salt and add chopped onions.
- Now we reduce the temperature of the plate. Covering the pan with a lid, bring the onions to softness. For this we need about three minutes.
- We spread all the mushrooms and add a leaf of laurel. To make the stewed potatoes with dried mushrooms very aromatic, add some of the broth that remained from the mushrooms during cooking.
- Cook for 25 minutes over moderate heat. Do not forget to stir the contents of the pan and add broth from the pan as needed.

Braised potatoes with dried mushrooms and sour cream

In the pan, we begin to stew the potatoes, pouring water. The liquid should barely cover the vegetables. We turn on the stove and, adding salt, bring to a half-ready.
Mushrooms will be sent to the frying pan to the sautéed onion. Fry until thin crust. At this time, the potato reached half-preparedness. Send to the pan everything that happened in the pan. Also add salt and bay leaf with spices. Reduce the temperature under the pan. Mix its contents. With the lid closed, simmer for five minutes.
