Fire escape is a very important part of any home. It is important because it is this simple device that saves people in case of an apartment fire or other dangerous incidents in a multi-storey residential building or other building. So, firefighters can easily and quickly penetrate the fire and eliminate the fire.
Unfortunately, now this is not given due attention, and many stairs in case of fire, which are in the houses of the Soviet Union, are in unsatisfactory condition. It so happened that utilities do not allocate funds for such necessary precautions as a fire escape. For this reason, if possible, it is better to get down to business. Moreover, this is a guarantee of the safety of your family and your children.
People who live in new homes are a little more fortunate. A modern fire escape is in most cases made of metal. It is very durable and can withstand heavy loads. It is the most heat-resistant and at the same time easy to install. Naturally, there are no fire ladders made of plastic or wood. But there is one exception - ladders, which can be made of wood. Their main advantage is their low weight, which allows you to use this device in case of emergency. Most often, they serve to raise the fire brigade to the first floor through the windows. Also, such stairs fold up for easy carrying, and even in this form they are convenient to punch wooden doors.
There are still rope fire escape. But their appearance is quite rare. In our country they are practically not used, but in other countries, for example, in Japan, they are used. In this country, such stairs are in every hotel room. They help people to evacuate during the earthquakes that so often occur in these places. Interestingly, people make rope ladders manually using simple knots that are placed one after the other.
Let's go back to the houses that were built during the Soviet Union. It often happens that in such buildings there is a fire escape on the balcony. Some apartment owners are very unhappy with this turn of events. Some of them leave everything as it is, while others even clean the stairs and brew the hatch, thereby violating safety rules. This is not worth it! It is terrible to think what the residents of this house and firefighters will do in case of a serious fire.
Fire escape is not just a staircase. This is a very, very important element of a residential building. And if all people neglect safety measures, it is not known who will be responsible for the incidents. In our country, the presence or absence of access to fire escape has not been controlled for a long time. They were removed, locks hang on the hatches. People fear thieves and want their balconies to be beautiful. No one even thinks that everything happens in life, and that none of us - residents of high-rise buildings - are safe from an accident ...
