In the article, we will consider what a Bisha fat lump is.
Aesthetic surgery, as a rule, is focused on the modern consumer, therefore, is obliged to meet the most common requests of potential customers. Today, a slim body, a thin face and expressive cheekbones are in fashion, so women have a distinct tendency to change the fullness and size of their faces. More and more patients of plastic surgeons decide to have surgery in order to remove Bisha's fatty lumps.
Anatomy
They are encapsulated fat formations that are localized between the superficial muscles of the face (large, chewing and small zygomatic) and the buccal muscle on both sides of the face. Named the education data on behalf of the physiologist and anatomist from France Marie Francois Xavier Bichat.
Consider the topography of the fat lump Bich.
In formations, three lobes are distinguished - anterior, middle and posterior. The anterior lobe is surrounded by the excretory duct of the salivary parotid gland. The middle one occupies an intermediate position between the posterior and anterior lobes and is located above the upper jaw, substantially reducing as a person grows. The posterior lobe is directed from the temporal muscle and infraorbital sulcus to the upper mandibular edge, then further to the branch of the lower jaw.
How are Bisha lumps visualized? Photos are presented in the article.
The fat formation of the cheek is located in a fairly dense fascial capsule, which separates the formation from the subcutaneous tissue and the buccal muscle, which is located somewhat deeper. Some part of the fat body is located in the nearby parotid chewing zone. From this part of the body, processes extend: the orbital, temporal and pterygo-palatine, which penetrate into the corresponding zones. The temporal process rises under the zygomatic bone along the external wall of the orbit, localized in the chewing-jaw area and extends to the front edge of the temporal muscle, where it binds to the deep temporal and temporal subfascial spaces.
The orbital process, localized in the infratemporal fossa, is adjacent to the lower fissure of the orbit. The pterygo-palatine process is located farther to the outer base of the skull, between the posterior edges of the lower and upper jaws and the base of the pterygoid process. Often, the pterygo-palatine process reaches the lower medial area of the upper fissure of the orbit and penetrates the cranial cavity.
In medical science, there are several opinions about what function Bisha fat lumps perform. Scientists believe that these formations play an important role during sucking and chewing, especially in infancy. This hypothesis is supported by the fact that lumps undergo significant reverse development as the body grows. Doctors also suggest that fat bodies provide normal gliding of muscles, which greatly facilitates the act of chewing. In addition, it is believed that Bisha's fatty lumps (in the photo - before and after their removal) provide a protective shock-absorbing function, since they protect the sensitive muscles of the face from injury. Nevertheless, the question of their role in the human body continues to be debatable today.
Aesthetic look
Due to its localization, Bisha's fatty lumps can give the face an excessively rounded and puffy shape, adding an extra volume to the face oval from below. Sometimes even slender by nature people who are not suffering from excess weight can have unnaturally puffy cheeks.
It is impossible to remove encapsulated fat through diets and training, because it has a special nature of occurrence, and traditional methods of controlling fatness in this case are completely ineffective. In order to correct the appearance, weighed down by the presence of such formations, a complete or partial removal of the Bisha fat lump is performed.
The need for removal and indications for surgery
The main indication for surgery to remove fatty clots is the person’s desire to improve the shape of the face, as a rule, in the following cases:
- if there is excessive body fat on the face:
- with a round shape of the face, which is enhanced by adipose tissue;
- with the development of age-related changes that are caused by the formation of skin folds, wrinkles, drooping cheeks;
- during plastic surgery in the face, for example, with liposuction of the chin, the introduction of zygomatic implants, skin tightening, thread lifting.
In the latter case, this technique acts as an additional correction. Sometimes incomplete removal can be carried out, but only the movement of fat formations under the cheekbones in order to create additional volume in the cheeks.
The presence of large formations in the patient is not considered a pathology and in no way threatens health. Aesthetic preferences of patients are an indication for the removal of fatty lumps by Bish. Photos before and after the operation are of interest to many.
How is the operation performed?
Surgical intervention to remove Bisha's lumps is aimed exclusively at correcting the facial contours, however, such an operation cannot radically change the patient's appearance. As a result of such an intervention, you can smooth the contours of the face, refresh the skin, ennoble the lower part of the chin.
The surgical procedure is performed on an outpatient basis, the anesthesia technique is selected individually. The surgeon makes an incision in the area of the inner surface of the cheek and provides direct access to the fat capsules. The volume of fat removed is calculated on an individual basis and directly depends on the patient's desire, the required face shape and his personal anatomical features.
With concomitant cheekbone correction, fat deposits are transported higher, which creates an additional volume of this area. This event in plastic surgery is called transposition of fatty lumps by Bish. Having finished all the necessary surgical procedures, the specialist sutures the incision with special absorbable material.
Removal of fatty lumps can also be done through incisions on the face. This technique is much more complicated and traumatic than when fatty formations are extracted through incisions on the inside of the cheeks. Basically, this kind of surgery is optional if any major facial surgery is required that requires incisions. They are often used not only to achieve the main goal, but also to remove lumps of Bish.
The volume of removed formations can be different, which directly depends on the cosmetic effect that the patient needs to receive. However, in most situations, Bisha lumps are completely removed. A specialized disinfectant pad is applied to the seams.
Contraindications for surgery
In order for the surgical cosmetic procedure to remove wen to be successful, it is important for the doctor to exclude some contraindications to its implementation. Among them should be noted:
- the presence of inflammatory processes in the mouth, on the neck and face of the patient;
- periodontitis, caries;
- acute stage of an infectious disease;
- diabetes;
- bleeding disorders;
- pathology of the liver of acute and chronic course;
- the presence of a history of mental illness, as well as epileptic seizures;
- insufficient or overweight patient, which exceeds 25% of normal body weight;
- dynamic weight gain or its reduction during surgery;
- young age, when Bisha’s fatty lumps have not yet completed their reduction stages.
Rehabilitation period
When taking into account the quality of modern cosmetic services, the occurrence of complications in the rehabilitation period, as a rule, is caused by the development of allergic reactions to the substance used as an anesthetic, as well as to suture material. In addition, the possibility of individual reactions to anesthesia is not ruled out. The duration of the recovery period after surgery is limited to a time interval of two weeks.
The rehabilitation period is characterized by the presence of such unpleasant symptoms as swelling of the cheeks, moderate soreness in the face and neck throughout this time. Sutures on the inner surface of the cheeks heal within about 2-4 days. If the medical specialist did not use material that resolves on its own, then the sutures are removed 6-8 days after surgical manipulation.
The course of a fairly easy postoperative period is still associated with a number of restrictions that the patient must observe. These recommendations include:
- cancel physical activity for a period of 2-3 weeks;
- minimize the load on the muscles of the face;
- to avoid the occurrence of excessive swelling, you should sleep on your back, placing a high pillow under your head;
- Do not stay in water for long, do not go to saunas.
In addition, some restrictions apply to the patient's diet during the rehabilitation period:
- the first three days the patient limits himself exclusively to liquid nutrition, which eliminates the likelihood of trauma to the inner surface of the cheeks, where the seams are located;
- the next 2-3 weeks you need to exclude too hard food from the diet, which eliminates excessive muscle strain;
- Do not injure your mouth with too hot or cold food and drinks.
In addition, you should pay special attention to oral hygiene after meals and follow the recommendations of doctors on taking anti-inflammatory drugs.
The results of surgical removal of Bish's fatty lumps and processes can be seen only after the end of the rehabilitation period, however, it is recommended to fully evaluate them after 4-6 months, when the damaged tissues finally heal, and the face takes a constant shape.
Is it possible to remove them without operational measures?
Unfortunately, these fatty formations cannot be eliminated through physical activity, diets and massages. Face-building and specialized cosmetic lipolitics are also ineffective. The only way to deal with these fatty deposits is surgery.
Lumps of Bisha. Before and after surgery
Before the operation to remove fatty lumps, the face looks swollen, especially its lower part. The cheeks, as a rule, sag in the direction of the lower jaw, as a result of which it looks massive. At the same time, age-related changes in the skin are clearly expressed - wrinkles, especially nasolabial folds.
After this surgical intervention, an even contour of the face is created, the massiveness of the lower jaw is reduced, the cheekbones are emphasized.
People look younger without Bisha’s fatty lumps. Photos before and after confirm this.
Operation cost
Given the relative simplicity and a short postoperative period, removing Bisha's lumps is currently a very popular procedure. The price of the operation is relatively low, which significantly increases its availability. The price is approximately 30,000 rubles. Of course, this amount may be higher, but it depends, as a rule, on the status and popularity of the medical clinic where the cosmetic procedure will be performed.
When choosing a clinic, you should adhere to the rules of the golden mean. Too low a price for such services is an absolute risk. A doctor who does not have sufficient experience in this kind of surgery can easily damage the facial nerve endings, which are located in the immediate vicinity of the Bisha fat lumps, which will lead to serious irreversible consequences.
Having trusted a trusted surgeon and observing simple rules for post-surgical care, you can achieve the expected result and maintain attractiveness for a long time.
Possible complications and negative consequences
After removal of lumps by Bish, the risk of complications is quite low. However, in some cases, the consequences can be extremely negative. These include:
- the development of the inflammatory process in the area of the internal tissues of the cheeks (occurs if the body had hidden foci of inflammation or the tissues of the mucous membrane were injured, for example, in the process of eating solid food);
- damage to the facial nerves;
- the asymmetry of the face, which develops in cases where fat formations were removed unevenly, for example, with the hands of an inexperienced specialist.
In the latter case, a new plastic surgery will be required in order to achieve a uniform effect. If the nerve endings in the face are damaged, such a complication is extremely difficult to treat, and most often is irreversible.
