Homemade Tarragon Recipe. Simple and affordable

Tarragon is a cold highly carbonated drink, which is prepared on the basis of the tarragon plant. Judging by GOST, it also includes sweeteners, carbon dioxide, water and citric acid. Of these ingredients, at least, it was made in the old Soviet times, and many remember this green drink with a tart aroma and pleasant taste. But nowadays, manufacturers are unlikely to adhere to past standards. In order not to risk your health, you can completely cook homemade tarragon, the recipe of which is quite simple.

The main component of this drink is the tarragon plant, which grows everywhere in our area. In summer, you can find it fresh yourself or buy it in the market. The tarragon recipe does not require many ingredients, tarragon, sugar, lemon and water will suffice. To begin with, a bunch of tarragon must be washed and rid of the lower branches. The remaining leaves are cut into 3-4-centimeter pieces, placed in a clay jug and poured with boiling water. Add sugar, you should not regret it: for every liter of water 6-7 tablespoons of granulated sugar are taken. After a few hours, the drink with a characteristic green color will be ready. You can add a little lemon juice to it. Drink chilled.

But this is not the only tarragon recipe suitable for cooking at home. For example, if you take 100 g of tarragon, 2-3 limes, 4 tablespoons of sugar and 700 ml of water, you can get a delicious cold drink. The grass is ground in a blender, to which is added chopped lime slices and half sugar. The resulting mixture is transferred to a pan and poured with boiling water. The infusion is covered and placed in a cool place at night. In the morning, you can add the remaining sugar to the drink, mix and strain. So it turns out concentrated tarragon. The lemonade recipe is advised to be stored in the refrigerator and diluted with mineral water to taste before use.

If you take a bunch of tarragon, 7 tablespoons of sugar, 300 ml of water, 5 tablespoons of lemon juice and soda, you can also get a similar concentrate. This tarragon recipe starts with making syrup from existing sugar and water. Next, tarragon greens need to be folded into a decanter and pour hot syrup on a third of the volume. If necessary, tarragon can be rammed with a spoon so that the liquid covers it completely. The mixture should be infused for at least a few hours. When the syrup has cooled, the carafe can be refrigerated. After insisting, it must be filtered, add lemon juice to it and mix. Drink lemonade should be cold, diluted with sparkling water.

The following tarragon recipe requires 30 g of fresh tarragon, one lime and lemon, 100 g of sugar and 4 pieces of fresh or frozen strawberries. First, 1.5 l of water is boiled, the fire is turned off, and tarragon is added to the boiling water. Then cover the container and leave for 20 minutes. Meanwhile, lime and lemon are cut into slices, from which the bones are removed, ponytails are cut from the strawberries. All fruits are stacked in a bowl and knead. The resulting mass is added to the tarragon infusion, mixed and covered with a lid. After cooling, you can put it in the refrigerator for the night, and in the morning you just have to strain the finished tarragon.
