Gambling is a developed gambling industry, it is, in its way, a business that is aimed at making a profit from the activity of gambling. What is this activity? Gambling is an organization for the introduction of gambling, it can be a casino, and slot machine halls, and sweepstakes, and bookmakers. Even before 2006, gambling was regulated by federal and local laws. But at the end of the year, the Federal Law amended its organization of this business. Already in 2007, restrictions began to appear on the existence of the gambling business in order to protect the morality, legitimate interests and rights of citizens. There was a criminal liability for the gambling business, which was aimed at all types of gambling activities, except for the lottery.
The federal law provided for all areas of this business, it is not allowed to organize several gambling zones in the same subject, maybe only one. In addition, the criminal liability for the gambling business extends not only to the owners of this craft, but also to people whose age has not reached 18 years.
Already in July 2011, the State Duma imposed such a concept as criminal liability for gambling, even on the one implemented on the Internet. It is strictly forbidden to conduct gambling that takes place outside the gaming zone, and it is also forbidden to use the Internet, information and telecommunication networks and mobile communications.
In addition, the criminal liability for the gambling business provides for several liability options - in the amount of 500 thousand rubles of fine, imprisonment of up to 4 years, restriction of freedom for 3 years or compulsory work for up to 240 hours. The fine, in turn, entails extracting income in a very large amount from a game organized group, they can be punished by a fine of up to 1 million rubles, and they can also be imprisoned for up to 6 years and pay a plus a fine of about 500 thousand rubles.
In general, the law on the prohibition of gambling is the best solution for punishing the gambling business. Many people who get involved in this business, in desperation, lose very large financial resources, and sometimes mortgage personal belongings, cars, apartments, and even their own business. Gambling is, in turn, a disease that must be treated with harsh methods. And therefore, criminal liability for gambling is necessary not only for Russia, but also for other countries.
Also, regarding the organization and conduct of various lotteries, separate bills were also provided for, amendments were made to the lottery. When the law banning the gambling business came out, many gaming clubs who did not want to give up easy and huge profits allegedly closed the casino and opened lottery clubs in its place. What, it would seem, was bad in this? It’s just that the lottery club was just a place to cover up the illegal gambling business. Therefore, gaming clubs began to be regulated much more tightly, and criminal liability for gambling began to be imposed more severely.
Of course, not all authorities are law-abiding, and the gambling industry provides great opportunities to exceed their capital. That is why many people, including prosecutors, began to cover up the gambling business. Corruption in Russia has always been and will be, prosecutors and gambling - this term is found quite often. It's no secret that due to corruption, this craft flourishes. Police officers and prosecutors are involved in the gambling business, but federal law will not disregard this important point.
