Childhood and youth

In the city of Samarkand, the Uzbek SSR, the future journalist Eduard Sagalaev was born. Date of birth - October 3, 1946. As a child, he was an ordinary tomboy boy who did not want to study music and liked to walk with the guys in the yard.

His career began during his years at Samarkand State University, where he was a student of the Faculty of Philology. During his studies, the young man played in the city drama theater, and also worked as a radio announcer when he entered the third year.

First successes

Upon graduation from the university in 1967, Sagalaev was appointed to the post of chief editor of the Committee on Television and Radio Broadcasting at the Samarkand Oblast Executive Committee. Two years later, he begins to work in the newspaper Leninsky Put, in the department of party life.

Due to good characteristics: a party member, young, married, the journalist was offered a place in the Tashkent newspaper Komsomolets Uzbekistan as executive secretary. But for a long time he did not stay there - work in this position lasted from 1972 to 1973.

After graduating from the Academy of Social Sciences, in 1975 Eduard Mikhailovich became deputy chief editor in the youth editorial board of television. Five years later, he begins to work at the Yunost radio station as editor-in-chief, and another four years later as editor-in-chief in the youth editorial office of the State Television and Radio. Sagalaev is one of the creators of the then-popular television programs “Sight”, “Twelfth Floor” and others.
