Millipedes in an apartment is a rather unpleasant phenomenon. These insects have a very long tortuous body, consisting of segments and numerous legs, the first pair of which are jaws that can grind food. Fighting such "neighbors" is necessary, first of all, for aesthetic reasons. For humans, they are harmless.
Habitat and diet
These nasty insects feed on various small flies, bugs. Their favorite habitats are damp rooms, gardens and vegetable gardens, tree roots. By the way, not a single millipede has caused the slightest harm to any tree, take note of this!

The most unpleasant thing in this whole story is that often centipedes settle in a person’s apartment (photo 1, 2). Moreover, you can see them there only at night. Fortunately, they do not bite and do not attack us, but somehow I do not want to see them in my house anyway. That is why they still need to be driven out of our home!
How to get rid of centipedes in an apartment?
First you need to arm yourself with a special tool to combat dampness, gauze (or mesh), an aerosol designed to combat crawling insects, gel or crayons from cockroaches. The entire arsenal is seriously frightened by the forty-legged insect. A millipede in an apartment is in most cases the result of constant dampness! That is why, before removing these insects, it is necessary to get rid of the dampness that has appeared in the basement. It is advisable to install through ventilation.
Millipedes in an apartment of a multi-storey building mainly appear from mines passing through the bathroom and toilet. It is from there that these creatures crawl out at night. Imagine, you turn on the light in the bathroom at night, and there ... In general, to prevent this from happening, you need to put a special mesh on the ventilation shaft, treating it with a pre-prepared insect repellent. Remember: this procedure will have to be repeated every day.
Treat the insect repellent all cracks, corners and baseboards in the apartment. Do not forget about the basement (if any), namely the walls, which can also be centipedes.
Wear a respirator, goggles and gloves in the apartment. All family members and pets should be isolated at the time of treatment. Pack all your belongings (dishes, clothes, children's toys) in airtight bags. In addition to the spray, use gel or crayons against cockroaches, because millipedes hate them too. In the apartment with these tools, handle the same angles, baseboards and all available slots.
Remember that no cockroach lures act on centipedes, because these insects do not eat the same foods as humans. As mentioned above, these creatures prefer flies, ants and other small insects.
