Water is the basis not only of all life processes, but also of most types of production. And if for internal use it should be simply purified, without bacteria, microorganisms and unnecessary chemical inclusions, then for industrial purposes, one consisting exclusively of water, without additions in the form of foreign compounds or ions, is required.
Distillate is not the pinnacle of purity
People who are far from chemistry and physics stubbornly believe that distilled water is absolutely pure, and therefore unsuitable for drinking (since it washes away all the necessary salts from the body and does not introduce new ones). In the latter they are right. But for many production processes, conventional distillation is not enough. So deionized water is preferable to industrialists. It’s just that it almost 100 percent contains only H 2 O molecules.
Where does it come from
Conventional evaporation followed by condensation, as for distillate production, is not enough. In order to obtain high-quality, extremely pure deionized water, in one of the methods for its preparation, distilled is used as an intermediate stage. Next, resin-ion exchangers are used, due to which super-deep cleaning is performed.
There is a second option, with the help of which deionized water is formed. Getting it this way is even more chemical. Hydrogen is burned, resulting in the formation of H 2 O molecules, but then the same resins are still used. They are necessary due to the fact that during combustion, foreign compounds are still involved in the liquid. The output is extremely pure deionized distilled water.
What is it for?
Most widely, such a liquid is used in the manufacture of semiconductors. However, this is not the only direction of its application. For more than a decade, Russian doctors have used deionized water in cardiology for the treatment of atherosclerosis. Surgeons pay tribute to her in the fight against sepsis and purulent, poorly healing wounds; it is very useful in the treatment of diabetes; gastroenterologists give her due attention. If deionized water is the basis for saline solutions, their healing properties increase, and often at times.
Beauticians claim that such water at the base of creams, tonics and other means heals the skin, rejuvenates it and prevents the formation of blackheads and wrinkles.
Recent studies give hope to environmentalists. It was established that deionized water added to a dirty, almost ruined reservoir (and relatively small amount), gradually changes its water, contributing to the restoration of its original purity. Perhaps this method can even revive the seas and oceans that have suffered from irrepressible human activity. There is evidence that deionized water can even help restore the number of marine plants and animals. However, before such global experiments, a lot of additional research will have to be done.
Hope of Oncologists
Cancer in recent years has become increasingly common. Neither doctors nor scientists have yet determined the reason for this, but they are not abandoning attempts to find a way to help as many patients as possible. In this, deionized water also comes to their aid. It was found that its intravenous infusion acts on a special molecule called ATP and “allows” cells to divide. When the described fluid is injected, the molecule does not transmit a signal, and uncontrolled reproduction, which scares cancer cells, at least becomes slower, or even stops.
It can not yet be said that deionized water is a definite panacea. But doctors have high hopes for her. So her study in Russia is already even included in the president’s program “Health of the Nation”.
