Undoubtedly, modern life cannot be imagined without such an object as a toilet. He is literally in every apartment. Types of toilets

- With vertical release. The exhaust pipe in such models is connected to the pipe, which is located in the floor. They are popularly called American toilets. They have a lot of advantages. Unfortunately, they are not very popular in Russia.
American type toilet
An American siphon toilet bowl (a siphon is a curved tube for transfusion of liquids with different levels from a vessel into a vessel) is a toilet with a vertical flush. A typical American standard toilet will have a long and narrow P- or S-outlet pipe. At one end, a bowl is used as an inlet, and the other is connected to a drainage pipe. This design of exhaust pipes is designed specifically for siphon-type toilets. Most common in North America, Thailand and China.
Characteristics of American toilets
- Pleasant appearance, as the pipes are hidden in the floor.
- An American-style toilet bowl is nearly half full. This prevents the inconvenience caused by surges. Also, during each flush, water covers the entire area of the bowl, and this allows it to remain clean.

- Compact size. The upright toilet is more compact and great for saving space.
- A variety of models. You can choose a toilet with decorative elements suitable for the design of the bathroom.
- Keeping the bowl clean. The American toilet has a so-called double flush, which means that they can flush with different levels of water , depending on the type of waste, both liquid and solid. This function is great for saving water, as its maximum amount with a single flush is 11-22 liters.
- Often, instead of the usual lever - a button. This makes the appearance more attractive.
The principle of operation of the American toilet
Flushing starts with pulling the lever or pressing the flush button. Then the flushing valve opens, allowing the tank water to pass into the bowl. In the case of a siphon toilet, as a rule, the water in the bowl rises and then quickly sinks into the outlet of the bowl. Here's what happens next. Water from the tank starts to flow faster than the one trying to get out of the bowl. This is due to the fact that the diameter of the flushing valve is larger than that of the hatch.
When water exits through the outlet pipe, it displaces the air inside, forming a vacuum. Then, when water flows through the fracture into the pipe, flushing begins. Water passes through the siphon when the level stops rising and begins to fall rapidly.
The effect of the siphon tubes is so strong that heavy solid waste is sucked up by water. A vortex forms in some siphon toilets, but the principle of operation remains the same.
At the end of the flush, a murmuring sound can be heard - this vacuum disappears and stops the water in the siphon. The bowl is filled with residual water, then the tank is refilled with it. Everything is ready for the next flush.
Conclusion
Toilets of the American standard, of course, have a lot of advantages. Unfortunately, they are very difficult to find in Russia and Europe, as in these countries a slightly different pipe system. However, you can still install such a toilet, but it will cost a lot of money.
