The daily life of a free person is filled with bright colors and amazing events, new discoveries, little joys, plans for the future. It is in our power to make each new day saturated and unique, but for constant deeds and cares, we simply forget about it. But somewhere there are people who can give everything in the world to spend at least one day in the status of a free person. Three fate-cooling words crossed out their fate forever: a maximum security colony. Is there life behind barbed wire? We will try to answer this difficult question.
The maximum security penal colony consists of three divided territories that differ in conditions of detention. As a rule, newly arrived prisoners are held in normal conditions, assuming the availability of necessary amenities. They are also given the opportunity to communicate with relatives and loved ones through:
- correspondence;
- receiving and sending parcels, money orders and transfers;
- telephone conversations;
- date.
After 9 months, convicts can be transferred from normal conditions to lighter. But this happens only in the absence of penalties for violation of order and a conscientious attitude to work. Convicts, recognized as serious violators of the established order, can be transferred to strict conditions. Among the main goals are

The maximum security penal colony is equipped with special dormitories for keeping prisoners. In addition to sleeping rooms, the buildings also include rooms for educational work, changing rooms, living rooms, dining rooms, showers and toilets, dryers for shoes and clothes. The women's maximum security colony is also equipped with personal hygiene rooms.
Convicted persons held in strict conditions are subject to certain legal restrictions. The maximum security colony includes isolated rooms designed specifically for such prisoners. Their behavior is set to increased supervision and control. Maintenance in strict conditions significantly limits the possibility of movement within the colony, and also entails a ban on communication with other prisoners. Allowed to receive only 2 transfers or 2 parcels per year, as well as 1 long-term and 2 short visits. In addition, persons serving sentences in strict conditions are entitled to a daily one and a half hour walk.
As you can see, the maximum security colony offers its prisoners quite stringent conditions of detention. They are so far from our usual norms and ideas. But, as you know, a person is able to adapt to almost everything - you need only a little time and patience. The main thing that these people have is a ghostly hope for early release and an early return to
their native land.
