The now popular Japanese crossover Nissan Qashqai has been mass-produced since the end of 2006. It was then that the concern developed the first generation of these legendary SUVs, which caused a real stir among European motorists. In Russia, it is no less popular, and therefore today we will consider a new, second generation Nissan Qashqai, whose technical characteristics and its cost in the Russian market you will find out right now.

The novelty belongs to the lineup of 2014, and so the designers decided not just to make a restyling of the car, but to modernize it completely by developing the exterior from scratch. Indeed, this is a completely new car, and looking at the photo, you can immediately note its aggressive design, which, according to company employees, was borrowed from two concept cars: these are the Nissan models of the High Cross and Resonance models. So, the novelty has acquired a completely new shape of the main headlights, which now resemble in design a boomerang design, as well as a dynamic false radiator grille. The high location of the hood and brutal lines of the body make the car really off-road, although it belongs to the class of urban crossovers.

According to company employees, the novelty will no longer be equipped with an old 1.6-liter injection engine. In its place will come a more economical 1.2-liter unit, whose power is 113 horsepower. The peak of its torque freezes at around 190 Nm. In addition, diesel engines are also available in the updated engine range. There will be two of them. What kind of power will be in the first unit, the manufacturer still keeps secret, but on the second there is all the data, including technical specifications. Nissan Qashqai in diesel versions will have a 4-cylinder engine with a volume of 1,600 cubic centimeters. The power of this engine is about 215 "horses". The entire line is equipped with either a CVT or a mechanical transmission in 5 and 6 steps.

Due to the fact that the novelty will have such powerful engines, its maximum speed can now be about 225 kilometers per hour. In addition, the car accelerates from zero to hundreds in just 8 seconds. The BMW X5 luxury SUV has almost the same indicators, the cost of which is 3 times higher than the price of the Japanese novelty.
Price
In Russia, an SUV will appear no earlier than six months later, but the manufacturer has already announced the exact price for Nissan. Depending on the selected configuration, it will vary from 850 to 900 thousand rubles. An approximate start of sales of new items is scheduled for spring 2014.
The relatively low cost and excellent technical characteristics of the Nissan Qashqai are the key to the high popularity of the new product, and probably no one will be surprised if the crossover exceeds the sales levels of its predecessors.
