History
Everyone's favorite card game "Bridge" rules are quite simple. Here you do not have to rack your brains and memorize any complex schemes, you just need to understand the essence and enjoy the process.
The modern sports game dates back to ancient card competitions, which companies have played in past generations. Over the entire period of its existence, it went through many levels, each of them tried to somehow change, simplify the rules. But many liked the classic version more. The rules for recording results, the number of cards and suits changed. Now the game has clearly established rules that people use, and it is this variation that attracts them the most.
Now everyone knows that "Bridge", which was born and began to develop back in 1915. It was officially issued in 1926, and already in 1945, the international community called it a single international card game of this type.
Cards and suits
"Bridge" - a card game, the rules of which almost everyone knows. But beginners should still listen to some of the advice and recommendations of experienced people.
It is usually played with a standard deck consisting of exactly 52 cards. Two decks are taken, each of which must be shuffled separately. From dozens to ace - high cards, and all the rest are called foski (that is, younger). There is also one variable suit, which is the trump card. But the main task of the players is the maximum number of entries (points for one and two games won).
A short suit consists of 1-3 cards, two of which are called doublets, and one is a singlet. If there are no cards in the same suit, then this is a renounce. Long suit starts from 4 cards. In the process of dealing, each player is given 13 cards, which has its own name - a hand. The layout with one doublet is also called uniform. You should also remember the mandatory rule of a short suit - it cannot contain more than a triplet.
Partners
The rules of the game in “Bridge” seem complicated only at first glance. In fact, you can remember them quite quickly, even despite how many people will take part in it.
Traditionally, 4 people play, that is, two pairs (but there are options with a change in the number). Opponents must sit opposite each other. You can designate a place with the help of a usual contract with other players, as well as using lots. After that, each is called the side of the world, depending on where it sits (north / south / west / east). For greater convenience, it is allowed to put a picture with directions on the table so as not to get confused, as is done in special clubs.
The basic rules for playing a 36-card Bridge are simple, as people are already used to a deck with so many cards. You can use the same rules that are provided for the 52-card deck.
The game
The whole game is divided into only two parts - this is trading and drawing. When bidding takes place, the rivals draw up contracts or contracts between themselves. These documents confirm the obligation to take a certain amount of bribes. These bribes can be with or without a trump card. The obligation applies to the pair of players who were able to offer the partners the largest contract.
Bribe and trade
In a game called Bridge, the rules clearly indicate what it is and what it is. A bribe consists of exactly 4 cards, which are discarded in turn by all players. The very first to take it is the one who took the last. Further, everything continues, in a clockwise direction. You can throw cards on the table only in one suit, although if it doesn’t turn out, you can replace it with another, you do not need to use a trump card for this.
Trading begins with the dealer, and then everything goes clockwise again. The word "pass" can instantly refuse to participate in the trade. First, a contract is announced, and then a certain player must take one or more tricks. Bargaining ends only after the refusal of three people.
Contract or contract
Many beginners are interested in how to play Bridge. The rules here are simple, so do not strain too much.
After three “passes” the application remains, which is called the contract. As already mentioned, the player will have to pick up a certain number of tricks. The couple whose player took the bribes subscribes to it. The contract may consist of more than 6 bribes.
Draw and Record
The basic rules of the game in "Bridge" at some points can even be similar to other card games, in which at least once in a lifetime every person participated.
The one who managed to be the very first to declare a trump suit, gets the right to be a point guard. But the first move must be made by an opponent located on the left side. Having made the first move, the partner must lay out his cards, showing them to the rest. Then there are 13 tricks, and only after them follows the record.
The main record is made on a separate sheet of paper, which is divided into two parts ("we" and "they"). Record points received for bribes under the contract, bonus and winnings.
Sports game
In the game "Bridge" the rules are clearly formed from its very appearance. Many people have repeatedly tried to change some of the points in them, but nevertheless, classical laws still exist today.
Tournaments can be regularly held among paired teams, which is called the "sports game". The rules are no more complicated than the usual variation. Here they use pre-shuffled decks, which must be identical with the cards of other tables.
In competitions of this type, the computer program most often works, which is able to select the optimal cards for distribution. The victory will be won by the pair in which the total number of points scored for the entire game turned out to be the largest.
Luck has nothing to do with it. In this game, the ability to quickly make the right and profitable decisions in the future is important.
Chinese
The Chinese-style Card Bridge also has simple rules. They are not much different from other variations of the game. Here opponents get the right to take turns. First you need to deal 4 cards, and then another 44 in the same order. After that, you need to discover 11 of those that were dealt in the second part, the first 4 all the time remain in your hands.
Further, the game continues in the usual way, but each player discards not one, but two cards. The one who threw off the highest card or trump takes a bribe.
Bridge for two
In the game "Bridge" the rules must be studied before the distribution of cards. Indeed, along the way certain points of the rules may not always be clear, so the best option would be to consider them before the start of the game. In general, this variation is very similar to the previous one. The only changes exist in the number of cards dealt and additional bidding.
The selected dealer deals 13 cards for 4 calls to the opponent and himself. Trading also begins with the handing over player, but in the very first application he loses the right to pass. When an application is created, the dealer selects a blockhead (open - opens immediately after delivery, closed - remains hidden to everyone throughout the game), with whom he will continue to play. This decision must be made without fail. Bidding also continues until the first “pass” is heard. Recording rules do not change.
