It often happens that the starting point for the development of someone’s creative career is the Club of the Fun and the Inventive, which has been pleasing the audience with humorous performances for over 50 years. One of such immigrants from KVN is Kirill Kokovkin, who fell in love with all owners of a good sense of humor, speaking as part of the Soyuz team. She has been successfully participating in various stage projects for many years, and now she has also acquired her own show on a television screen. How did Kokovkin develop from a young artist to a creative director of his own show? All about the life and work of Cyril in this article.
Young years
Kirill Kokovkin does not like to spread about his biography. On the Internet you can find only rare facts from the life of Cyril before his participation in the KVN. He was born on November 11, 1983 in the city of Yekaterinburg. At a young age, Cyril was fond of football, and also attended a music school, where he learned to play various instruments, for example, timpani. His favorite song is Deep Purple's Smoke on the Water.
After school, Kirill Kokovkin received a specialty "computer science and foreign languages" and even taught for some time. However, he still did not think to work in this area, he was attracted to a completely different activity - creative.
Family status
Not much is known about Kirill Kokovkin’s personal life. In an interview, he admitted that a busy schedule leaves much less time for the family than he would like. Kokovkin has a wife, Julia, and not so long ago he became a father for the second time. The couple is very protective of their personal life and tries not to flaunt it. Now Cyril lives in almost two cities, "torn" between Yekaterinburg, where his family is located, and Moscow, where all the creative activity takes place.
KVN passion
Like many other participants in this beloved game, Cyril got into KVN by accident. During a speech at his native university, while still a freshman, he liked his artistry and ease of senior comrades. Those invited him to their team, and the game dragged on student Kokovkin for many years. During his career in the “Club of Fun and Inventive” Cyril managed to play for many teams: “Legion-45”, “Office”, “Molieres” and “Moth”. The latter represented the city of Shadrinsk. Then he got into the Soyuz KVN team, which brought him popularity. Together with Cyril, his friend Alexander Alymov moved from Moli to Soyuz . Kokovkin calls the team “Cooters” his favorite team in KVN.
The participation of Kirill Kokovkin in KVN
The two regional teams of the KVN Mol (the city of Shadrinsk) and Harvard (Tyumen), having become quite famous among the local public, decided to join their efforts to conquer new heights. So the team "Union" appeared. The name spoke for itself. This association took place in 2011, and after three years the team became the champion of the Highest League of KVN. Kirill has the following role on the stage: he announces the numbers, directs the rest of the participants, and also expresses dissatisfaction with the repertoire and stops his singing colleagues at the very moment when the hall has already burst out with laughter and you need to move on to the next part of the performance. Kirill Kokovkin calls himself "the art director of the singing morons." Kirill’s colleagues on the team are Viktor Shchetkov, Artem Muratov, Aidar Garayev, as well as the only girl in the Union, Elena Gushchina. Remembering his most amusing meeting with fans, Cyril says that it was funny when, not recognizing Kokovkin, the fan asked him to take a picture of him with Aidar.
Soyuz is a very titled team. She has many KVN music awards: gold and light KiViNov. The team also managed to get the first prize at the summer KVN Cup. Musical numbers have become the highlight of the team. This is probably why, leaving the KVN in 2014 and deciding to create their own show, the guys from Soyuz made it just musical.
Own program
Having left KVN, Soyuz participated in various humorous festivals for a long time, but the guys always wanted something more. In 2016, they organized their show on TNT, which, after filming the first (pilot) series that the editors liked, was immediately launched. This significant event took place on August 10, 2017, and a month later the project became one of the most popular programs on this channel. The idea of creating such a program belonged to the members of the collective themselves, since they imagined the creative future after the Club of the Merry and Resourceful exclusively together.
The concept of Studio Union was supported by the main producer of TNT Channel - Vyacheslav Dusmukhametov. It is based on finding out which of the invited star guests is better versed in the work of representatives of the Russian pop music. The program is filled with jokes, musical numbers, as well as fun contests. The main "highlight" of the program is a lively reaction to what is happening both for the guests and the team members themselves. The Union Studio has already been visited by: Sergey Zhukov, Julianna Karaulova, Yegor Creed, Mot, Alexander Panayotov and many other celebrities. Here Kokovkin performs the role of an entertainer already familiar to him. He notes that in the history of the project he was most struck by the TV presenter Ksenia Borodina, who was able to remember and sing almost the entire text of the song “Sex without a Break” by the group “Bachelor Party”.

To the question: “What will the members of the team do when all the funny and ridiculous songs of Russian performers end?”, Cyril replies in his characteristic manner that such “masterpieces” of our stars will never end.
Other projects
Kirill Kokovkin for a long time worked as a screenwriter for the Kefir KVN team. Aidar Garayev, a colleague in the Union, helped him in this. Of the unusual activities of Cyril, one can note the writing of jokes for one Russian publication located in China. He also works hard on the Soyuz Studio project, being his creative director and author of many jokes, despite the fact that most of them are an absolute impromptu. After successfully participating in KVN, Kokovkina began to be invited to host various events. After the release of TNT "Studio Soyuz" on the channel, the prices for celebrations by Kokovkin increased even more, however, as did its popularity.
