Back in 1999, Ford Excursion entered the car market. It was presented at an auto show in Texas and then went into mass production. The SUV was created on the basis of the powerful Ford F 250 truck. For the first time they thought about producing such a model in the mid-90s, when huge SUVs, amazing in their capabilities, became popular. A few years later, the American company Ford introduced a Ford Excursion limo truck to the public.

The side mirrors are equipped with LEDs that indicate the presence of interference from the side, because because of the high height, the driver may simply not notice those who are traveling nearby. The width is one of the largest among such machines - 3.5 meters.
SUV interior
Judging by the appearance of the car, we can safely say that there is plenty of space inside. The trunk is striking in its capacity - almost 1,500 liters, and if you fold the back row of seats, the free space will increase 3 times.
The Ford Excursion dashboard is no different. Leather lining with small wooden inserts look solid and strict, and especially does not attract the attention of passengers and the driver.
The head unit is traditionally located in the center of the front console, and just below the climate control and air conditioning buttons are located. The wooden armrest housed two niches for glasses or small bottles.
The double-spoke steering wheel is characterized by the presence of a gear shift lever, which is a traditional phenomenon for American cars. The dashboard includes: speedometer, tachometer, fuel and temperature sensors.

The smallest of them is a 5.4 liter unit that produces 255 horsepower. The second V-shaped 6.8 liter gasoline engine has 10 cylinders and 310 “horses”.
Diesel plants as well as gasoline - two modifications. The first is a V8 with a whopping 7.3 liters and 250 horsepower. The second engine, the youngest in the entire line, has a capacity of 325 horsepower and a volume of 6 liters.

Although there are also disadvantages, in particular, the simply unbelievable fuel consumption of Ford Excursion is almost 30 liters with a mixed cycle. Therefore, if you are still going to buy this car, get ready to refuel often, the appetite of the engine is excellent. A significant drawback is that in the future, Ford will be hard to sell in the secondary market.
It should be noted the breathtaking and expressive appearance of tuning Ford Excursion. Fantasy enthusiasts have no limits. Not only the exterior, but the technical equipment is changing. Ford Excursion is not the most popular SUV in Russia, because auto fuel consumption can reach 40 liters. Given the cost of gasoline, the owner of this car may go broke. Therefore, before you acquire such a giant, think about whether you can contain it.
