The cavernous body is the most important element involved in creating a stable erection of the penis, providing an increase in size and hardening of the penis during sexual arousal. There are three bodies in total: two paired and one unpaired. In their structure, they resemble a sponge, the inside of which consists of epithelial cells through which the blood arteries and nerve endings pass.
Location
The structure of the penis involves two cavernous bodies having a cylindrical shape. Fastening to the lower branches of the pubic bone is done using the pointed ends of each cylinder. The first cavernous body is connected with the second under the pubic symphysis, while these paired formations are completely fused together.
Due to this, a depression is formed on the lower surface of the pubic symphysis, in which the cavernous bodies are located. If necessary, the cavernous body can be felt on the right and left sides inside the penis. They resemble small cushions in their shape. The cells inside them can significantly change in size due to surging blood.
Appearance
The cavernous body ends in front of the glans penis. From above they are covered with a protein coat. It is noteworthy that it completely lacks muscle fibers. This structure is characteristic of the entire penis, with the exception of the head.
The inner surface of the protein membrane is dotted with many trabeculae (processes), consisting of dense connective tissue.
The tissue structure in large quantities contains smooth muscle cells and elastic fibers. At the same time, they branch and again intertwine along the entire length of the cavernous bodies, forming between themselves a system of cells - lacunae and caverns, which are filled with blood upon sexual arousal.
The work of the cavernous bodies
The deep artery, which runs along the entire length of the penis, breaks up into separate branches located in the trabeculae. It is the main supplier of blood to the penis when excitement occurs. If the branches are in a calm state, their shape is crimped, as a result of which they are called curlicues or cochlea.
The blood arteries have thick muscle walls with a wide lumen and open directly into the cells. Due to the bundles of muscle fibers that thicken the wall of the arteries and have a smooth shape, the lumen of the vascular wall closes during contraction. It should be noted that the veins passing through the penis also have a developed muscle layer.
Due to which an erection is achieved
Smooth muscle cells of arteries, together with arteriole and sinusoidal capillaries, play a major role in achieving an erection, during which the size of the penis increases significantly. During normal operation of arteries passing inside and around the cavernous bodies, the penis straightens, becoming much more dense in structure and completely ready for sexual intercourse.
At the end of sexual intercourse, ending with ejaculation, norepinephrine is secreted, causing a complete completion of the erection. If the blood flow to the cavernous bodies is insufficient, the destruction of the nerve endings occurs, which leads to a deterioration in the quality of the erection up to impotence.
Workouts for penis enlargement
Having learned about the functions that the elements in question, most men ask how to enlarge the cavernous bodies and develop a special training technique for enlarging the penis, based on a special technique for capturing and stretching the penis.
To enlarge the penis, it is necessary to grip it tightly at the base with the hand, stretching it as much as possible towards the head. This exercise to achieve the maximum effect is necessary at least 10 times, thereby dispersing the cavernous bodies. The enlargement of the penis occurs due to the fact that the blood rushes to the head of the penis, thereby distributing the cavernous bodies throughout the genitals.
Despite the complete safety of this method, it is not particularly effective. In order to significantly squeeze the cavernous bodies in men along the entire length of the penis, it is necessary to exert a force that far exceeds the standard degree of the pain threshold. It is necessary to pay attention to the fact that the cavernous bodies are adapted to increase only during their growth. Therefore, enlargement of the penis, even with the help of prolonged physical training, cannot bring significant results.
