Ultrasonic cavitation: consequences and contraindications

Any woman dreams of being beautiful. This is one of the most cherished desires, it is on it that the entire modern cosmetology industry is built. As you know, the client’s desire is the law. The number of different procedures to create the perfect look is growing every day. Among them: lymphatic drainage, liposuction, biorevitalization and cavitation. Many cosmetologists bypass the consequences of these procedures, although this approach is an unforgivable negligence in relation to each client.

Let us dwell on one of the widely publicized methods - cavitation. This procedure is one of the newest and the main drawback in it is the lack of information about the consequences that do not take place immediately. Therefore, let's take a closer look at what cavitation is, the consequences of such an effect on the body and contraindications.

To make it more clear, we must immediately make a reservation: "cavitas" is translated from Latin as "bubbles". So, low-frequency ultrasound acts on problem areas of the body, penetration reaches 6 - 8 cm. Thus, the effect is directed to adipose tissue. At the same time, bubbles form in adipocytes - fat cells of the body, that is, cavitation begins. Then the bubbles burst, which leads to damage to the membrane of the adipocyte. Now the triglycerides that make up each of the fat cells become free and are excreted from the body mainly through the lymphatic system up to 90%, the remaining ones leave the body through the circulatory system. In the latter method, triglycerides are converted to glucose. This is how cavitation occurs. The consequences at first glance are not obvious. What causes doubts?

  • The developers of this method claim that other cells in the body, which form the basis of muscles, vascular endothelium, epidermis, bone tissue are more durable in structure than adipose tissue, more elastic and cavitation does not occur in them. The consequences of such allegations are now impossible to verify. Cellular memory, which is often talked about now, can occur at any time. And it is not known what will happen, several tens of years after the procedure, when the cell elasticity and strength will not be the same.
  • Released triglycerides in the circulatory system turn into glucose. This leads to an increase in blood sugar. Any cosmetologist will immediately pay attention to the fact that any technique has its limitations, including ultrasonic cavitation. Contraindications prohibit this procedure in patients with diabetes. But an increase in sugar also leads to the formation of cholesterol, a decrease in tissue elasticity, the development of osteoporosis, and even heart attacks.
  • The name itself immediately defines absolute prohibitions. Ultrasonic cavitation is contraindicated in the presence of metal prostheses at the sites of exposure, and to everyone who has pacemakers. The effect of ultrasound has not yet been fully studied. Therefore, it is not possible to understand the consequences of ultrasound exposure to adipose tissue in the abdomen, in the presence of metal prostheses in the oral cavity. Ultrasonic liposuction, cavitation, ultrasonic facial cleansing are quite risky procedures for everyone who has any metal prostheses.
  • I want to stipulate one simple truth: love your children! Start taking care of the baby long before his birth. Almost every cosmetic procedure has a ban on its implementation during pregnancy and lactation. Save your kids, experimenting with your own body is one thing, and experiments involving your own child are completely different. Do not risk the health of the crumbs, for your own interests.
