Pencil drawing
We start by setting the dimensions for our drawing. A dog should not rest its nose against a sheet of paper, just as its tail should not go beyond the boundaries of the sheet (unless, of course, this is an author’s idea). Drawing a like with a pencil is not difficult if you work in stages. When we marked the border of the dog with an oval, we proceed to the construction of the contour. Novice artists should sketch it from our sample. People who are more advanced in drawing may like a picture in a different position. At this stage, the main thing is to respect the proportions. The head should not be too big and the legs should be thick.
When the outline is ready, draw the face. The husky has a rather weighty nose and small eyes, which are covered by wool. Do not forget to draw tiny ears and sharp teeth. When the drawing is ready, proceed to hatching. It must be done with a well-honed pencil. Light falls on our dog on the right, which means that in these places the wool will be illuminated, that is, there is no need to draw it. We mentally divide the dog into parts: body, head, paws and tail.
And now we separately apply hatching on each part. This must be done so that the hair fits in the shape of the dog. Do not forget that the tail of the dog is twisted, which means that the strokes will change their inclination. How to draw a like more realistic? She needs to give extra volume due to the muscles. We draw them with an eraser. They will look like white stripes on the body of a husky. It will be enough to walk with an eraser 2-3 times around the neck and forepaws.
Watercolor outline
How to draw like in an original way? If you do not master the pencil skillfully, you have neither the time nor the desire to master this complex technique, then you can draw a cute husky silhouette in watercolor.
