Moth: two types of pests

- Clothes moth. If things made of wool, silk, cotton, linen, fur and other natural fabrics are stored in a closet or closets, then a worn moth will definitely appear in these places. It is worth noting that this subspecies of the insect harms not only things, but also animals and birds. Moth is able to lay larvae in nests. The ripening period of the moth varies from seven to 35 days, it all depends on the ambient temperature. However, at the same time as fabrics from synthetic materials are increasingly being introduced into everyday life, the population of clothes moths has significantly decreased. But some owners have noticed that the moth is starting to spoil semi-synthetic things.
Naphthalene
One of the most popular folk remedies for moths is naphthalene. This is a round white pill that was used by our grandmothers. This is a solid which is available in the form of crystals. Many are familiar with this product, the smell of naphthalene comes from almost all things in the cabinets of the elderly.
Moth naphthalene is used as follows. The tablet is crushed to powder. Then the resulting mass is packaged in bags. Naphthalene is a moth control product in closets. But it is not able to destroy insects, but only scare them away from things.
However, experts recently studied naphthalene. Tablets of this substance were harmful to the human body. That is why it was withdrawn from sale. Now only the thirstiest housewives can use the smell of naphthalene in the fight against moths.
Tobacco
Another popular tool for pest control has become tobacco. You can use ordinary and fragrant varieties. But many people think that tobacco is not suitable for protecting wardrobe items from moths. A specific smell is eaten into the fabric.
Tobacco is better suited to maintaining the integrity of carpets and rugs: you can sprinkle these items on them or lay them between layers in bags.
Lavender

Naphthalene is undoubtedly one of the most ancient and effective means to fight moths, but today it is aerosol that is the fastest to cope with insects, not just scaring them off, but destroying them.
But the use of aerosols is a difficult matter. After processing the premises, people will have to breathe air filled with insecticides. In addition, buying an aerosol is a costly promotion.
Fumigators
Fumigators are gaining more and more popularity. Using them is quite simple: just plug it into a power outlet. The disadvantage of this method is only one: the first effect of the fumigator will be noticeable only after a few weeks. However, it does not pollute the air so much, which means that allergic reactions will also be less pronounced.
When a mole starts to fly in the house, no one can predict what kind of clothes she will choose, so you need to fight it immediately.
Each of the methods has its pros and cons. But it is important to remember that folk remedies - tobacco, naphthalene - are ways only to scare away pests. Industrial - harm the health of all the inhabitants of the house.
