There is also ordinary water with ice, which is useful for fighting thirst. It turns out that this is far from all the refreshing drinks that we can prepare right in our kitchen.

Kvass is the head of everything
Let's start with the most famous - kvass. You may have forgotten his real recipe and prefer a carbonated store product. Or maybe they didn’t imagine that it’s quite realistic to cook delicious kvass by ourselves. Before answering the question of how to make a drink, you need to make sure that you have some of the ingredients that make up kvass:
- half a loaf of bread, naturally, to make kvass more “pickled” and beautiful, you need rye bread;
- half a pack of dry yeast;
- three liters of boiled water;
- one hundred twenty five grams of sugar;
- raisins (a handful).

The first step to making a kvass drink is to make bread. Slices rye loaf in the oven. This is done without the use of oil. Just pour the prepared bread on a baking sheet and place in the oven until it is browned until brown. Some even allow lightly burnt bread slices. It is believed that this technique will make the drink even more interesting.
When the crusts have cooled, proceed to filling the containers. To do this, take a can of three liters. If banks of this size were not in your household, it does not matter. An enameled pan will do. Pour crusts of bread at the bottom of the dishes and, pouring them boiling water, wait until the water temperature drops to 38 ° C. This is necessary so that the yeast does not "cook" in too hot water.
When the liquid cools to a temperature slightly hotter than fresh milk, we introduce yeast into the future kvass and half the norm of sugar. It is better to pre-dissolve these ingredients in a glass of warm water. Cover the can with the drink with a lid and leave it in a warm place for two days. It is not recommended to put it in the sun.
Two days later, you need to strain the resulting kvass, then add the remaining sugar and a handful of washed raisins to it. We pour kvass into plastic bottles (make sure that raisins are in each container) and send them to the refrigerator for cooling. Now you know how to make a drink that is so famous in our country.
Homemade lemonade
Kvass, of course, is good, but you need to cook it more than one day. But what if thirst overcomes, and in the refrigerator there was no kvass ready for use? Then make a tasty and healthy homemade lemonade. Before making a drink of lemons, you will need this set of products:
- two liters of boiled water;
- two lemons;
- four to six sprigs of mint (if there is no mint, that's okay);
- sugar - 6-8 tablespoons;
- ice - as you wish.
Cooking Lemonade
Rinse thoroughly lemons and sprigs of fresh mint. Then cut the lemons into very thin circles, and tear the mint greens with your hands. Small leaves can be left, they at the same time will serve as a decor for the drink.
In a clean glass jar (3 liters) place prepared mint and lemons. Pour in the jar all the sugar provided for in the recipe, pour the resulting mixture with hot boiled water. First pour a liter of water and dissolve the sugar in a drink with circular jars. Then pour out the rest of the water and mix.
Without a lid, leave homemade lemonade on the table so that it is infused, and lemons with mint convey their taste and vitamins to the water. Forty minutes later, the drink is ready. It can simply be cooled in the refrigerator, but it will be more beautiful and fresh if you pour ice into glasses and then pour lemonade.
Natural dye-free tarragon
For the drink you need grass, thanks to which the tarragon got its second name - "tarragon". Here is a list of a few more ingredients that make up homemade tarragon:
- tarragon (aka tarragon) - fifty grams of fresh herbs;
- lemon - one piece;
- sugar - one hundred twenty grams;
- water - seven hundred milliliters.
How to cook
We rinse the tarragon and chop it finely. We’ll rinse the lemon and collect juice and zest from it (upper yellow peel). In a blender bowl we place lemon juice and chopped tarragon greens. Grind the composition to a mushy state.
Pour sugar into a saucepan and, pouring it with water, dissolve. Cook syrup from water and sugar. As soon as the syrup boils, put the gruel in it and continue cooking for another two minutes. Remove the decoction from the stove and let it brew for eight hours (it is convenient to make a drink at night).
After the specified time, you need to strain the tarragon to remove particles of grass and lemon. If desired, the resulting tarragon can be slightly diluted with cold boiled water. Put the jar of concentrate in the refrigerator. He's ready. You can pour ice into glasses and start tasting.
Cold tea
And a little more about what kind of drink to make at home is not difficult. For example, tea. Many variations of beautiful cold summer tea have already been invented by inventive housewives.
The refreshing drink "Sea Breeze" based on green tea with the addition of lime and a fragrant green apple can not remain indifferent.
And here is the list of ingredients:
- three bags of green tea;
- a bunch of fresh mint;
- one to three tablespoons of sugar, the level of sweetness of the drink can be adjusted by adding less or more sugar;
- one green apple is average;
- half lime, you can replace lime with lemon, but the taste and aroma will then become slightly less saturated;
- boiling water - one and a half liters.
Cooking Cold Sea Breeze
- Pour green tea bags with very hot water, but not boiling water. It is better if the boiled kettle stands for three minutes, then the temperature will be the most suitable.
- While the tea is brewing, we proceed to the preparation of the remaining ingredients. Chop the mint (large). Cut the apple into cubes or whatever you like - it doesn’t matter.
- We remove the tea bags from the brewed tea, squeezing all the tea leaves well into the dishes. Dissolve sugar in hot tea.
- We also cut the lime, but in thin circles so that the fruit gives all the aroma and taste to refreshing tea.
- In a jar of prepared sweet tea, we throw mint, slices or slices of lime and pour all the apple cubes on top.
- We cover the resulting drink with a lid, let it cool completely at room temperature. Then put the dishes with the drink in the refrigerator for an hour. We serve sea breeze tea with ice.
Cold tea "Home"
You can make a drink at home without even having lime and mint or any other ingredients on hand. Excellent iced tea, quickly quenching thirst, is obtained according to the recipe below.
The composition of the ingredients is quite simple:
- two liters of boiling water;
- four bags of black tea, if you take tea with aromas of berries or fruits, the drink will turn out to be more interesting;
- one teaspoon of citric acid;
- sugar to taste.
If it is difficult to calculate the amount of sugar for a drink, start with three tablespoons in a two-liter jar. Then, according to personal taste preferences, adjust your sugar rate.
Technology for making refreshing tea
We make tea bags with boiling water, as usual we make tea. Ready tea is poured into a glass two-liter jar. In a separate bowl, dissolve sugar in hot water and citric acid. Pour the mixture to tea leaves (after removing the bags themselves). Add hot water to the jar almost to the neck. Let stand tea without a lid at room temperature until completely cooled. Then put the can of tea in the refrigerator for at least an hour. Serve "Home" iced iced tea.
