It is hard to remember a good Russian motorcycle that surprises even at the first meeting. Many will begin to object: "Why, because there are so many worthy models." But in reality, all these “sweets” (according to the version of a person who has never left the garage), such as Dnipro, Planet, Java, are not even worth attention: the uniformity and obsolescence in this matter are simply going through the roof . Therefore, it can be difficult to assess the Russian motor-building concern. But this disastrous statistics destroyed one motorcycle. Although it would be better to call it an idol in its part. IL "Junker" is not just two wheels under the saddle, "Junker" is a true friend, requiring care and respect (at least because of age).
The beginning of the way

IL "Junker" is a chopper - a type of motorcycle, characterized by an abundance of chrome parts, a high-raised steering wheel and a vertical landing. "Junker" immediately became a classic of roads, and its distinguishing features were remembered by many. You just can not help but pay attention to the shiny drop-shaped fuel tank. After a short search, you can also see the dashboard, smoothly built into the upper part. The structure of the saddle is also pleasing. It may sound like a trifle, but in fact this innovation made it possible to straighten your legs when landing. Previously, they had to be squeezed under themselves, which brought discomfort and fatigue in the legs during long trips and not only. The high, raised steering wheel looks impressive. But this is not easy bragging of a daredevil designer. In fact, this form of the steering wheel facilitates the convenient placement of instruments and easier control.

IL "Junker": technical specifications
The motorcycle surprises not only with its design, but also with agility. Engineers were able to put decent technical qualities into a beautiful “sweetie”, which simply cannot hold back the praise. First about external management. It is standard on all motorcycles. But still. The right handle is equipped with a front brake. Incidentally, it is a hydraulic single-disc. The fact that such a high-quality brake was installed on the IL, even borrowed from the Japanese YAMAHA, already speaks of the seriousness of the matter.
On the right remote control there are buttons “Stop engine” and “Light / Main beam”. On the left handle there is a clutch lever and a rear brake. He, unfortunately and misunderstanding, is a drum type. And then the question arises: "Why?" After all, there would be enough room for hydraulics with a head. Why then not make a good two-wheel brake system? Well, probably even the designers of the Iunker IL model will not be able to answer this question. The characteristics of the stroke and other indicators are displayed on the dashboard. It, as previously mentioned, is located in the upper part between the gas tanks. They, note, are separate. Each is seven and a half liters, and each with its own hole, faucet, filter and cover. Why do this is unclear. After all, refueling turns into a game of "twist-twist the cover."
Power point
The power unit on the Junker is the same as on all the latest models of the IZh concern. This is a Ju6 engine (inherited from Jupiter) with water cooling. But what can we say about the motor, which has been outdated for twenty years! But in the absence of another, it remains only to list the advantages and disadvantages. U6 is a two-stroke two-cylinder internal combustion engine. Its working volume is only 347 cubic centimeters, and the maximum power is measured by 24 horsepower. The operating frequency (according to the technical data sheet) is approximately 6000 revolutions per minute, in fact, this value is too high. The actual range is 5000 rpm.
Yu6 is suitable for any gasoline with an octane coefficient of at least 80. The ideal “food” is AI-92. No need to pay attention to fuel quality. The two-stroke engine is not susceptible to bad dishes. But still, it’s better not to risk it and refuel your favorite bike at proven stations.
The consumption of the same fuel per hundred kilometers is relatively small. In the city it is 7 liters, on the highway at a speed of 90 km / h this number decreases to 5.5 liters, and on a flat road at a speed of 60 km / h it becomes completely ridiculous - only 4 liters per 100 kilometers. Two tanks hold 15 liters, respectively, at average costs, without refueling the motorcycle can stretch 300 kilometers. Do not forget that the Yu6 is a two-stroke engine, so always, after each refueling, it is worth adding 2T oil to the gas tank. After all, the lubricant comes with the fuel.
Repairs
Currently, there are no problems with the repair of IL "Junker". This is due to the wide distribution of the model and a small "secret", if I may call it that. Namely: almost all of the details of the IL are easily replaced by those from a close relative - Jupiter. Therefore, with minor breakdowns that happen quite often, you should not worry about spare parts.
