Cockroaches bring few people pleasure. And if we are not talking about exotic species, like Madagascar, which are kept by other insect lovers as pets, then we always have to talk about cockroaches exclusively in a negative way. These creatures firmly occupy the niche of human enemies in terms of everyday life. But not only. A cockroach can, as you know, cause harm to health. In this article, we will discuss whether a cockroach can get into a person’s ear or nose.
About the harmfulness of cockroaches
In fact, do not exaggerate the harm that these creatures do. Probably, everyone in the house once had a colony of “redheads” raiding the kitchen, but this rarely ended in tragedy for a person. There is, of course, a potential threat on their part, but more often than not, it remains a potential one. No less dangerous, say, are the exhaust gases that a huge number of people breathe daily. On the other hand, precautionary measures are nevertheless necessary, and it is impossible to let the situation drift with insolent barbel. In health care, there is even a special term for the harm caused by cockroaches - blattopterosis. So that this word was not heard and the doctor did not have to go again, it is necessary to do preventive maintenance in the house. Then uninvited immigrants will bypass your abode of purity. But if suddenly all the same uninvited guests "came in large numbers", what should you expect from them? Can they gnaw shoes or drag out the infection? Chew on wires or spoil food? Or, for example, can a cockroach crawl into an ear?

Harm from cockroaches
In principle, everything that was said is theoretically possible. And even to the question of whether a cockroach can crawl into a sleeping person’s ear , one has to answer “yes”. Extremely rare, but still it happens. In addition, cockroaches are omnivores. This means that they will claim all of your food supplies that they can reach. Unfortunately, sharing a meal with these “smaller brothers” will not work, since these insects are carriers of various harmful microorganisms that can sometimes cause dysentery or typhoid fever. Therefore, the captured "military booty", of course, will have to surrender to the red invaders.
If we allow the reproduction of the colony and the increase in the population of insects, then leather products, plants, paper products (wallpapers, books, etc.) and even household appliances (cockroaches can gnaw wires and spoil microcircuits) can suffer. In the end, cockroaches are simply unpleasant, disgusting creatures that are disgusting to most people and can only cause hysteria in the faint of heart and impressionable persons. However, the appearance of these creatures cannot be blamed for them, since they did not choose him. But the most unpleasant and really nasty thing that can happen is when some curious cockroach tries to crawl into a person’s ear or nose. And besides the fact that it is unpleasantly purely moral, it causes quite serious physical discomfort.
Cockroach in the ear
Despite the statements of doctors, not everyone is ready to believe in the affirmative answer to the question of whether a cockroach can get into the ear. It seems unrealistic to some that a cockroach, a rather rather large creature, can get into a very narrow opening in the auricle. Logic, of course, is present in this argument, but, nevertheless, we have to admit that this is possible. Cockroaches tend to creep into rather narrow slits, and an adult's ear will not be a big problem for him. But as for whether a cockroach can crawl into an infant’s ear, one already has to speculate here. On the one hand, the ear opening in a baby is smaller than in an adult. And on the other hand, a cockroach can be a small, young, only a growing “baby”. Therefore, such an opportunity cannot be categorically rejected. It’s unfortunate, however, that a battering ram can get into the ear, but it won’t work out because it has no “reverse gear” for these insects, and they can only maneuver forward. And they have nowhere to turn around in the ear canal. And then the insect begins to beat in hysteria, bite and move its mustache, which can cause severe pain to the owner of the ear, pain and even slight bleeding. Know that if this happened in your life, there is nothing to wait for - the animal must be urgently removed.

What to do if a cockroach crawled into your ear
Having found out whether a cockroach can get into your ear, you now need to understand what to do if it suddenly happened to you. Of course, the first thing to run to the doctor. And there they will do everything right. But there are situations when doctors are out of reach. In this case, the first thing you need to kill a cockroach. Regrettably, it sounds, but he will not return alive from captivity anyway. To do this, pour vegetable oil into the ear (gently, preferably from a syringe, of course, without a needle). Then the insect will die and will not crawl inside the ear, which will relieve you of pain and pain. After waiting 5-10 minutes, the ear should be washed with warm water. Then you can, without rushing, go to the doctor. Or you can ask a friend to carefully pull out the “corpse of the scout” with tweezers. The main thing is not to insert the instrument deep into the channel so as not to damage the membrane. You can’t do this with your fingers, so try not to. You can try to rinse the ear with a pressure of warm water from a syringe, and then the cockroach may come up. But still, it is best if this procedure is carried out by a qualified specialist. When the lifeless body of the deceased is removed, it should be carefully examined for integrity. So, if some part of the insect remains inside, the washing procedure must be repeated.
And most importantly - do not worry. A cockroach in the ear is, of course, disgusting, but nothing more. Think about the insect - it is much worse for it, because, unlike you, it will not be able to get out of this mess alive, and nothing worse than a ten-minute doctor’s procedure will shine for you.
