There are a huge number of chemicals on the market whose action is aimed at the destruction of parasites. These substances are called insecticides. The chemical mechanism of their action may be different, but the result is one - destroyed pests. An example of such a tool is Tanrek. This drug belongs to the class of so-called neonicotinoids with contact-intestinal effects.
The Tanrek tool (instructions for use are printed on each package) destroys both adults and their larvae. Particularly effective in the fight against insects that can tolerate the effects of pyrethroids and FOS. Its action lasts about 20 days, after which re-processing is required. Relatively resistant to
precipitation and high temperatures.
Means "Tanrek" (instructions for use contain this information) has a wide range of effects, which makes it equally effective to use it both on flower crops and for processing potatoes. The insecticide also showed itself well in the fight against pests such as whiteflies, cicadas, aphids, and thrips.
Does Tanrek help from the Colorado potato beetle? Yes, but a better effect can be achieved by alternating it with other insecticides. Such actions exclude the addiction of pests to one drug. When processing plants, the death of parasites occurs after 5-7 hours.
The undeniable advantage of the considered
substance is its low consumption. At the same time, both adult individuals and their small larvae are simultaneously destroyed.
This product is available in ampoules of 1, 10 and 50 ml, as well as in 100 ml vials. To breed "Tanrek" application instruction advises immediately before using the drug.
Processing plants is recommended in dry weather, in the absence of strong winds. In this case, it is advisable to spray in the morning or evening hours so that the air temperature does not exceed +15 ° C.
The concentration and volume of the substance required for processing depends on the type of plant. So, when spraying currants, to prepare 10 liters of a solution, you need to use 3 ml of the drug. At the same time, the consumption of the finished mixture per one bush of the plant averages 1-1.5 liters. The same concentrations are observed when processing apple trees.
For spraying potatoes with Tanrek, the instructions for use recommend that you prepare the following solution: 1 ml of the product is taken on a bucket of water (10 l). With this concentration, the consumption averages 5 liters of finished substance per 100 m² of planting. They process potatoes once a season, but no later than 3 weeks before harvesting.
Using the Tanrek preparation to protect tomatoes and cucumbers that are grown indoors, they use 5 ml of insecticide in a bucket of water. Processing can be done no later than a week before harvesting.
If necessary, you can use the drug for the treatment of indoor plants. In this case, a solution is prepared at the rate of 0.3 - 1 ml of the substance per liter of water. It is important to prepare such an amount of the mixture that can be used at a time.
