Writing to a friend is a pleasure or a waste of time?

It would seem that it could be nicer than, having retired from the usual city bustle and noise, to arm yourself with a sheet of paper and a pen or sit down at a computer and write a letter to a friend? Do you want to argue? Objection that in our age of modern technology to write something, and even send it by mail, even electronic, is complete nonsense? It is much easier, it would seem, to call.

Well, perhaps in some ways you are right. Of course, this will be much longer than, say, using the help of a mobile phone, numerous social networks or the same Skype. I don’t argue ... Although ...

A letter or a call?

Choosing whether to write a letter or call back, I personally will prefer writing. I will explain why:

  1. I myself choose a time when I can allow myself to “chat” with my beloved girlfriend without distraction. It can be earlier morning, lunch break at work, late evening or even night. I can, without haste, tell about my feelings, emotions and feelings. In the old days, I managed to write so much that a letter to my best friend could occupy not a page, not two. Gradually, in the process of writing, it sometimes acquired such volumes that I involuntarily began to think about whether it would fit in what I wrote in a regular standard envelope, where I also planned to put a few photos, a postcard, and a dried flower. Now the availability of the world wide web has solved this annoying problem.
  2. I know for sure that my friend will read this letter exactly when she is comfortable. Anytime. And, again, at any time she will be able to return to him and once again run her eyes, if necessary. For me, as for her, this is a kind of mystery and ritual; to listen to a phone call again is much more difficult.
  3. From year to year, mobile communications, as well as the Internet connection, are becoming cheaper and cheaper. But at the moment, calls, and especially calls abroad, are still expensive.

Letter to "5+" - what is it?

What can you write about to make the letter interesting, informative, and most importantly, correctly convey your emotions and mood?

So, a letter to a friend. Sample.

I will try to give you some, in my opinion, practical advice.

Greeting

A letter to a good acquaintance, and even more so a letter to a friend, should not begin with an official greeting. Say hello in the usual form, call her a familiar name or even your favorite nickname. Sometimes you can start a conversation with a line of a well-known or beloved song by both of you.

The main part of the letter

The content does not have to be boring and monotonous, otherwise the reader will immediately have a desire to put the message far, far to the side, no longer reread it and no answer.

What can you write about? It’s good if a letter to a friend tells about what stories have happened to you recently, what you do, how things are going at work, with whom you talk, what you watch or what you read. Express your opinion about what is happening, describe the emotions that this or that event caused in you. It would be nice to recall a couple of stories from your common past, which featured both you and your girlfriend.

Do not forget to ask about the personal life of a person close to you, ask what she does, about vacation, about children, about the health of parents, about pets.

If possible, try attaching a photograph, a small souvenir or a postcard to the letter. It is always a pleasure.

Parting

Before you write “bye” or “see you soon”, let me know that you’re bored, that you’re really looking forward to an answer (if this, of course, is so). At the end of the letter, you can draw a tiny drawing.

That’s probably all. It seems to me that you will definitely succeed in writing this letter, which is what you will deliver a lot of positive emotions to yourself and your friend.
