Which Resume Form Works Most Effectively: Electronic, Handwritten, or Printed?

In modern life, every person should be able to teach himself in a quality manner, which is especially important when looking for a job. It is necessary to be able to correctly and competently draw up a resume, emphasizing all its merits and proving to the employer in a concise form: the job applicant who is applying for it is suitable for the declared position. These documents can be provided to the recruitment agency or directly to the employer in three versions - electronic, printed or hand-written. Each organization involves the filing of one form or another of a finished document, so this point must first be clarified in the personnel department.

Printed resume

A fairly convenient and popular version of the presentation document of the applicant. This form of resume is traditional - a text is drawn up, indicating all the necessary data - personal, educational and professional. Attention should be paid to ensure that the finished resume is not too verbose - only 1-2 pages are enough, vague - the employer will like facts and clear language more, or rich in superfluous details - do not mention school grades and absolutely all places of work. The printed resume form looks very neat, does not require special conditions from the compiler and is suitable for submission to almost all organizations and recruitment agencies.

Handwritten resume

Handwritten documents are at least perplexing to employers. In the age of modern digital technologies and universal computerization, printing one and a half or two pages of text is not a daunting task. An exception may be only resume forms and questionnaires issued by the employers themselves - in them all columns must be filled in by hand. In all other cases, a handwritten document will not be preferred, especially in comparison with a neatly printed or electronic resume.

Electronic resume

More and more often from applicants the most modern is required - an electronic resume form. It is convenient both for candidates applying for a certain vacancy and for employers - such a document will not be lost, it will be viewed on time, and it will not take much time to deliver it. However, this form of filling out a resume is significantly different from others, therefore, when creating it, certain rules should be taken into account, dictated by the need not only to read the finished text of the autobiography, but also to transmit it as intended. Resume text should be created in a standard computer text program, in Courier font and without any special characters (asterisks, dashes, or pluses). The resume should be in capital letters highlighted personal data of the applicant (name) and some keywords needed when checking the document with special selection programs.

A carefully checked and read document must be saved in a text file and then transformed into text using a special ASCII file. After that, you can test the opening and saving of the resume and insert it into the main text of the message sent by e-mail to the organization.

Form Performance

Probably, it is not worth mentioning that a handwritten resume form would not be an ideal option for the applicant to submit his candidacy. Hand-written paper deliberately plays documents electronically or typed on a computer and printed. Choosing one of these two options follows from the requirements of the recruitment agency or the organization’s human resources department - most often the preferred method of submitting resumes is mentioned in job postings.
