Ryazan is one of the thirty largest cities in Russia. It is not surprising that it has a rich history, since its foundation dates from the 11th century. Short story
The village begins its history since the time of Ivan the Terrible and got its name from the Sheremetyevs estate, as well as the nearby nearby river Pesochenka. The most remarkable place in the village was the Trinity Church, erected in 1849, which functioned exactly the same on the territory of the Sheremetyevo cemetery. It ceased to function in the thirties of the XX century. The bell was dropped to the ground. The priests were repressed, and then were shot. However, at the Sheremetyevo cemetery there are many nameless and neglected graves. But for the most part, burial sites are monitored and looked after. Along with the old graves, fresh burials here, alas, are not uncommon. The first row of the cemetery is filled with graves of mostly young people.
According to city data, there are more than three hundred graves in the cemetery. Annually, funeral rites take place around ninety.
