English irregular verbs with translation and transcription

One of the features of the English language, as, indeed, of many others, is the change in the form of verbs to indicate the time of action. The most common way to form the past tense from the English verb is to add the ending -ed, however there are many verbs that do not lend themselves to this rule.

For them:

  • in the formation of the simple past tense (Past Simple), the second form of the irregular verb is used;
  • to form one of the perfect tenses (Past Perfect, Present Perfect, or Future Perfect) the modal verb have is used in one of the forms (had - for the past tense, have / has - for the present, will have / shall have - for the future) and irregular verb in the third form.

A separate difficulty is the understanding of the times of the English language, however, specifically in this article, attention is paid to English irregular verbs with transcription and translation. Read and remember!

The principle of quick memorization of irregular English verbs

spelling verbs

The transcription and translation offered in any textbooks will not help to find any explanation or help in sorting for a better understanding. In this case, most learners of English resort to simple cramming, but in this case, memorization is the worst enemy. In fact, one can trace the patterns and similarities in the formation of forms of irregular verbs (with transcription and translation this is easier to learn) for almost all of their species.
