The poet Ekaterina Derisheva was born on November 13, 1994 in the city of Mariupol. Her motherland is Ukraine, where Catherine lives now. She is a young author who grew up in a crucial era when familiar stereotypes and ideas collapsed. For all her poetic inspiration, the poetess has an education in the specialty of a programmer. The technical mentality probably influenced the peculiarity of her work.
In the future, Catherine received a second profession - a journalist. Not quite the usual combination of activity paradigms. This may speak of a special mindset, a desire to search for oneself, an attempt to realize creativity in one's personal space. Ekaterina Derisheva publishes works on network resources, as well as in print media: Rainbow, 45 Parallel, Graphite, New Reality and others. She is also an active participant in poetry forums, festivals, conventions of young writers of Ukraine.
Shades of creativity
Violating the standards, she writes avant-garde, shocking and incomprehensible verses. “Poetry is not for everyone,” so to speak. It seems that the poet Ekaterina Derisheva by nature is not inclined to talk a lot. She is an introvert, and experiences everything inside herself. And poems help to broadcast the author’s emotional experiences on the air. Because ordinary words are not always enough.
Catherine creates a new interpretation of the texts, creating her own encodings. It's like listening to music - close your eyes and immerse yourself in your sensations. Sometimes in the works of Derisheva sounds lyrical, very personal. She communicates with readers, sometimes in semitones, sometimes in open phrases - manifestos, as if indicating the complexity of her character and the ingenuity of thinking. The poetry’s verlibres are easy to write, as if reluctantly. So, as if the author pulls out of the perception of certain images and thoughts, subject to a single sensation.
