Game 'Twister': rules

What to do with a friendly company in nature, when the barbecue is not yet ready, there weren’t enough rackets for everyone, and more than enough energy and desire to show yourself and make others laugh? It’s time to get the “trump card” out of the sleeve (or from the bag) - the simple and invariably fun game “Twister”. Even a child will quickly learn the rules, it takes up little space when folded, and for the game you need only a flat surface (grass or floor). Children, parents, friends play it with pleasure. Joint activity, movement, contact and continuous fun can unite any company.

Description

The game "Twister", the rules of which provide for the simultaneous participation of 2-4 people, is a rectangular oilcloth with colored circles applied to it. These circles are places for placing arms and legs. Actually, this is the essence of the game: rearrange arms and legs in a circle indicated by the leading color, without taking other limbs off the floor. If it’s not yet clear to you what’s funny, try to imagine that you need to do this by “circling” the participants, who are frozen in the most ridiculous positions. Roulette is usually included. The number of participants is from 2 to 4, but if the daredevils are confident in their flexibility and dexterity, more can be arranged, competitions can be arranged with the final.

"Twister": the rules of the game

First you need to spread the "field", not forgetting to remove the shoes. Then determine the number of players. Starting positions will depend on this. If there are four participants, one stands in green and yellow circles, his teammate is nearby, in red and blue. Opponents are placed opposite in a similar way. If there are two participants, they choose the opposite ends of the "field". Each of them puts one leg on a blue circle, the other on a yellow one. If there is a third participant, he becomes in the middle, putting both legs on red circles. You will also need a leader, however, when playing together, you can do without him. Then the players collectively name the color and body part. Now we pass to the most important thing. In the game "Twister" the rules are as follows:

- After the initial positions are taken, the leader turns the arrow and announces where the arm / leg should be placed and which one.

- The movement is performed even if the indicated arm (leg) is already standing in the circle of the named color. In this case, another circle of the same color is selected.

- You can’t put two parts of the body on one circle. By agreement between the participants, a variant of the rules may be adopted allowing both participants to occupy the circle at the same time. Otherwise, the leader of the game selects the first lap winner. If the game is a team game, players of the same team can put their feet on the same circle.

- You cannot change position and move until the next position is announced. It’s not easy to stay in the same position, but this is the goal of the game. Temporarily moving your arm or leg to allow another participant to move is only possible with the permission of the host.

- It is forbidden to touch the "field" with the elbows, knees and other parts of the body.

- If all the circles of the named color are occupied, the tape measure spins again.

What is the ultimate goal of Twister?

The rules provide for a “severe” punishment for those who could not rest on their arms and legs and changed their position of the body. He drops out, and the winner is rightfully considered the most persistent and dexterous. Or the most serious one, because it is impossible to resist and not burst out laughing with the risk of falling yourself and dropping an opponent. But the main goal is, of course, to have fun and have a great time. Therefore, the game “Twister”, the rules of which everyone will easily remember after the first round, will be both an excellent purchase for the family and an unusual gift for which you will be thanked more than once. And maybe they will invite you to play.
