At 3 a.m. on 05/19/2016, the fire department received an alarm signal about the fire of the Narat restaurant (Lebyazhye). 23 pieces of equipment and 65 fire fighters left for the scene of the fire. Despite the fact that the fire was localized in a short time, they managed to completely eliminate the flame after 2 hours. Unfortunately, the building (mainly made of wood) quickly burned down, and almost nothing remained of the building.
At the time of the incident there were no people in the building, respectively, there were no casualties.
At 7 a.m., investigative measures began, and 3 versions of what happened were put forward:
- Fire through negligence.
- Problems with wiring.
- Intentional arson.
According to the manager of the Narat restaurant (Kazan), a version of the problem with the wiring is unlikely. Since the inspection was conducted by the supervisory authority on 06/07/2013, during which it turned out that all the electrical components are in working condition, without deviations. In addition, the fire alarm went off, calling the firefighting staff.

Even in the times of the TASSR, this place was very attractive for its extraordinary architecture for that period and its belonging to a beautiful forest corner. The building was built by order of the first secretary of the Tatar Regional Committee of the CPSU - Fikryat Tabeev. The construction of the cafe was dedicated to the wedding of his son. The first fire took place in the 70s.
In the 90s, "Narat" burned twice, as a result of gang warfare. Then this building was abandoned for several years.
In 2009, the Narat restaurant in Kazan again became the center of attention. This time, the case concerned financial fraud: representatives of the city government formalized a deal to sell a cafe for 4,000,000 rubles, while the real price was 10,000,000 rubles.
In 2012, the building gained a new life, it was reconstructed and repaired. After 4 years, Narat was again engulfed in flames. There was a rumor among the people that the place was cursed, and someone said that the institution again prevented competitors.
