Obviously, it was in this country that the weavers came up with an original way. The family is not limited to one crepe de chine: here there is satin crepe, chiffon crepe, and georgette crepe. All of them are united by the effect of roughness and granularity of the same name (by the way, the general name of the tissue family is translated precisely in this way). How is it achieved? It's all about the strongly twisted threads that alternate in the direction (right twist - left twist and vice versa). When the canvas is steamed, the threads try to twist, but there it was. Therefore, the fabric becomes so bumpy. However, this does not affect its lightness. Crepe is most often painted in a single color to emphasize its pattern. The advantages of fabrics of the whole family include lightness and crease resistance. Therefore, the fabric will pleasantly lie on the body, it will not be so difficult to care for it. A group of crepes now came into fashion, then disappeared from it. The surface of this fabric is most often matte, however, crepe chiffon with a dusting glistens. Often he has neither the front nor the wrong side. It is very pleasant to the touch: thin, light, glides between fingers.
