According to the directory, 5 categories of compressor unit drivers are allocated. For each, their own requirements for training are put forward, as well as the responsibilities that an employee must fulfill in this position are described.

compressor driver work

In the ETKS classifier, the drivers of the second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth categories are distinguished.

The second category is the highest; the highest requirements for experience and skills are imposed on it. Sixth, respectively, is the lowest.

The discharge of the compressor driver is assigned according to experience. Duties, as well as the level of remuneration, depend on the category.

Second category

The compressor unit compressor operator of the second category serves compressors with a working pressure of up to 10 kgf / cm 2 (1 MPa). The feed rate for this unit is 5 m 3 / min.

Responsibilities include:

  • start, stop and regulation of compressors;
  • monitoring the operation of equipment that is auxiliary, as well as the compressors themselves;
  • lubrication of parts of mechanisms experiencing friction;
  • prevention of malfunctions in the compressor;
  • troubleshooting;
  • monitoring the operation of safety devices;
  • drive engine repair;
  • filling oil in emergency tanks and consumables, as well as pumping oil;
  • participation in the repair of compressor equipment.

Knowledge for the second category

Instructions for the compressor unit operator require professional knowledge, without which the performance of direct duties would be impossible.

compressor driver installation manual

The employee must know:

  • principles of operation of a turbocompressor;
  • principle of operation of a reciprocating compressor;
  • operation of steam engines and turbocompressors;
  • principle of operation of electric motors;
  • ways to troubleshoot engines and compressors;
  • methods of using devices for measuring and control, as well as the purpose of each device;
  • station piping diagram;
  • working pressure and air temperature corresponding to each mode;
  • permissible temperature to which the working unit assembly can be heated;
  • ways to eliminate overheating, as well as measures to prevent overheating;
  • brands of oils used in the installation for lubrication of units.

Third rank

The compressor unit driver is trained not only in vocational schools or universities. There are continuing education courses, after passing which a student is issued a certificate of assignment to him of a higher rank.

compressor driver Moscow

The employee serves turbocompressors and stationary compressors with a working pressure of up to 10 kgf / cm 2 (1 MPa), flow - above 5 m 3 / min. and up to 100 m 3 / min. Or installations with a pressure above 10 kgf / cm 2 (1 MPa) and a feed of up to 5 m 3 / min. when working with non-hazardous gases driven by different engines.

For a specialist of the third category, the duties are:

  • regulation and start-up of compressors, engines and turbocompressors;
  • maintaining the necessary parameters of the compressor;
  • switching of various units;
  • prevention of emergency situations in the work of the station;
  • preparation of technical documentation for the operation of serviced equipment;
  • taking part in the repair of nodes and parts of the station.

Knowledge for the third category

A third-level employee should know:

  • arrangement of turbocompressors, reciprocating compressors, internal combustion engines, electric motors, steam engines and installations;
  • technical characteristics of the described units and the rules for their maintenance;
  • device of control and measuring equipment, service rules and technical specifications;
  • installation piping diagram;
  • documentation necessary for the operation of the installation;
  • fundamentals of thermodynamics, as well as electrical engineering;
  • properties of gases in the operation of the compressor.

Fourth rank

The driver with the specified discharge serves turbocompressors and stationary compressors up to 10 kgf / cm 2 (1 MPa). The feed in these installations is more than 100 m 3 / min.

Work consists in:

  • establishing and maintaining a favorable mode for compressor operation;
  • monitoring the health of engines, devices, mechanisms;
  • participation in the inspection and repair of equipment (respectively, qualifications of a mechanic with 3 categories).

Knowledge for the fourth category

To perform duties at a high level must know:

  • design features, as well as the device of various types of compressors, internal combustion engines, turbocompressors, electric motors, complex instruments for control and measurement, valves and equipment, steam engines;

  • schemes according to which an automatic device for blocking the operation of the station is located;
  • technical characteristics of the compressors that need to be serviced;
  • electricity consumption rates for normal operation of the station;
  • consumption standards for gases or compressed air.

Fifth rank

The fifth-degree driver serves automated stations up to 100 m 3 / min.

compressor driver training

His duties are:

  • switching, as well as the conclusion to the repair and backup state of the equipment
  • process control;
